Tier Status Expiration Date - 1 year more...
Today my card status has been extended for one year.
It was extended to December 31, 2020 (half a year more from June 2020).
Today the date has changed to December 31, 2021.
It looks like Turkish is also extending its status for another year.

So, my original membership was going to expire in September 2021. Then it was extended for 6 months (March 2022). Then, I've qualified for a 2-year extension during the first year of my E+, but the website never showed my expiration date as 2024, it was always March 2022. Now, it shows March 2023. Would that mean that I really have Elite Plus until 2025? That would mean at least 5.5 years of E+, and 7.5 years of *G for me for flying 120k miles in two years, which is an incredible value!

My Elite Plus status was originally scheduled to end on 31 July 2021; it was postponed to 31 January 2022 in March and now it's 31 January 2023.
It's a really nice approach from TK to have a total of +18 month extension. Probably the most generous airline status extension we saw until this moment.
So probably the next step from TK would be: TK extending miles ending on 31 December 2020; however, they would probably not announce this until 31 December 2020. ( This sentence is pure speculation )

I re-qualified until 31.7.2023 in last autumn(during the first months of the first year), now it is until 28.2.2023. If TK considers it as a first period and extend it until 28.2.2025 then it is very good, otherwise it does not matter to me, even I am loosing a few months due to the new period. What interests me more is how TK will handle the E+ voucher issuance due to the extension, still every year two or no additional vouchers. I guess it will be the latter.

Was on a match challenge....ready to contact them as they haven't re-start to fly where I am right now...and expiry was in Jan 2021...just to find out now after reading this post that it has now been pushed to August 2023. I hope this is not a mistake. Whatever...being also gold on Thai....I need to fly Star Alliance pretty often, so this is a good move on their side. Now I just need the catering to be back to decent and would be ready to fly with them...once the sky do open again. Doing my first international flight next week....after 7 months on a small island! And for TG...I just hope I don't lose all my miles with them....but all future Star Alliance credits will got to TK from now...

Same here... Had to use some brain power to figure it out though.
Year 1 re-qualification was in the bag back with a May 2020 year-end. (but my account would have shown E+ expiry for May 2021) That got moved to November 2021. Now an extra year on top.
With re-qualification done and the soft landing, I am guaranteed *G until November 2026. (assuming TK doesn't go bust) Amazing...
The re-qualification cycles are going to be messy though - what the heck is going to be "year 1"...

that is like taking 6 round-trip flights across the Atlantic in 3.5 years to protect two more year of status. This is now, by far, the easiest top tier elite airline status to protect as far as I see.

It's a good change for everyone.
2021 was supposed to be my first year to gain status for the next period. I met all the conditions and was supposed to have TK * G for 2021-2022.
Now that has changed and the first year to earn miles to status will be 2022 and my TK * G is for 2022-2023. I think so...
For 2021 I have an eco ticket, but in U class, so I was already a bit angry that it would be few miles.
I also have a lot of miles in the Miles & More program (LOT Polish Airlines). Now I can safely use these miles in 2021.
Not so bad this COVID-19. If only there were clear rules of flying.
