I'm not sure what they are trying to do.
Maybe the Turkish Civil Aviation Authority didn't allow flights to/from New York because of the high infection rates over there.
We'll probably have an answer soon.

That would be ironic as New York has the LOWEST INFECTION rate of any of TK North American Destinations presently. I booked August flights for my wife and myself with TK Miles
and will keep everyone posted. For August they still show 3 flights daily but I am sure that will be adjusted.

The Chinese destinations, PEK, CAN and XIY, are clearly incorrect. I am not sure why TK published misleading information. Chinese aviation authority only allows 1 flight per airline per week to one destination in China.

Turkish was going to start Vancouver service in June which has been delayed to September. I am hoping to fly the route in October but wonder if this route will actually still go ahead this year due to the steep drop in air travel demand.

I'm anxiously awaiting good news as well. I have a one way booked to France in late Dec. I wonder if they would just refund us the money or force me onto a flight connecting in YUL or YYZ. I definitely would not be happy ending up with YYZ and the 777.

For all those that are looking at QR whilst the TK service remains degraded, QR is introducing a requirement for all passengers to wear full face shields in addition to face masks. It is not mandatory in J. I don't think I would want to wear a face shield for an entire long haul flight, especially overnight.
Qatar Airways is now requiring all passengers wear a face shield in addition to masks — except in business class

fyi, Bali Governor Wayan Koster is planning to reopen for international tourism on 11. September.
Therefore no TK flights to Denpasar before (guess TK planned for August) make any sense.

I didn't have my computer for a while so I was unable to update the WIKI.
I would do it within the next few days both for this thread and the short-haul one.

Would I want to wear one for that long? - No.
Would I wear one on a long haul flight at the moment? - Hell, yes! Sounds like a prudent idea.
But I can respect that comfort/worry levels differ from one person to the next.

If we return back to our subject, TK Chairman of Board, Mr. İlker Aycı had mentioned in an interview in April or May that in addition to face masks, face shields would be mandatory onboard TK flights. However, we haven't seen anything yet.
