Nice promo actually;

90000 miles for 1500 USD ( Classic/Classic Plus )
100000 miles for 1500 USD ( Elite/Elite Plus )

However, I would prefer a status mile multiplier rather than a bonus mile one.
Although, as award availability is wide-open throughout carriers, it could be feasible to purchase miles and use them on other *A carriers Business product.

Yes, it is only really attractive if you do not need status miles.

It's worth highlighting that these purchased miles expire on 30 November, 2021. That is 18 months from now instead of the usual 3+ years.

So definitely just for a buy and burn reward option and a hope that COVID won't still be messing with international travel in 2021...

After three months in lockdown, do any of us even know what day of the week it is?

TK selling miles with bonus up to 100%

Seems TK is following US airlines in trying to raise cash through selling miles https://www.turkishairlines.com/en-t...s-awaiting-you

Best price on US site is for elite buying 50k with 100% bonus, bringing cost to 1.5c (USD).

Campaign details
Purchase period 11 June 2020 – 21 June 2020
Mile expiration Date 31 November 2021

Would not be a buyer myself at the moment, but some may be interested

Not 100% accurate.

Only the extra miles have a limited validity.

For me as an EP, if I buy 100K miles, I’ll pay $3K and get 100K miles to expire in 3 years and another 100K extra miles to expire on Nov 30 2021.

The refund in miles option is much more lucrative...

OK. Fair point.

But it still means that you have a large chunk of miles that will expire in 2021.

As many have found out, booking reward flights with soon-to-expire miles becomes a complete mess if those flights subsequently don't operate. 2021 SHOULD be better than 2020 in that respect, but I wouldn't place a big bet on all of us being vaccinated or all countries being wide open to tourists until 2022 or 2023...

Egypt also suffers from soft-focus geography. For one section of THY the country is firmly located in north Africa, where it belongs. But an agent just offered to change my (cancelled) Sharm el Sheik ticket to "anywhere else in the middle-east".

I was hoping for Marrakech, but i'm happy with Muscat.
