Earning Status Miles with Azul Brazilian Airlines??

Moderator , don't know it this has been discussed previously.

Just got the following email We are glad to announce that a new partnership with Azul Brazilian Airlines has been established. Thanks to our cooperation with Azul Brazilian Airlines, an attractive travel experience in Latin America awaits you. Effective January 20th, 2020 you can earn Miles* and issue award tickets on Azul flights.
*All Azul flights are eligible for earning Miles. Status Miles is restricted to the following markets: domestic Brazil and travels between Brazil, Argentina, United States, Uruguay and French Guiana.

No, you are not missing something here. You could earn status miles on the routes specified. I have received the same mail in Turkish, a few hours ago.

You could also earn status miles from AnadoluJet which isn't a *A carrier.

Also there are such examples like;

Delta SkyMiles -> Virgin Atlantic
Lufthansa Miles&More -> Eurowings
etc...

Lufthansa owns Eurowings, Turkish does not have any stake at Azul.

Hi, so booking an Eurowings flight would indeed give me TK Miles & Smiles miles? I can't find any confirmation for that. Thanks

Nope, Eurowings earns nothing with TK's M&S.

No it will not, as Eurowings is neither a *A partner nor a Miles & Smiles (TK) partner. What the OP meant was LH & Eurowings are partners and you can earn LH miles while flying Eurowings. Same with TK and Andaloujet, although the latter is not a *A partner.
