Hotels near new IST airport

Hotels near new IST airport
I am booked to do an overnight transfer at the new IST airport in two weeks. Normally I have gone into Sultanahmet, but in this case I arrive at 17:00 and depart at 11:00 so I was thinking to stay near the airport. Then it dawned on me that the airport I have always been to is closed and the new one is quite far away.
Can someone suggest a hotel near the new airport for under $100/nt?
If we go into Sultanahmet are taxis the best option - how long is the trip now?
Something by Hilton would be nice - or a cheap room with HH points.

Count on a minimum of 60 minutes in a taxi to Sultanahmet.
FWIW. Overnight layovers in IST should be avoided like the plague I'd say. If you qualify for the free hotel night, I believe you are sent in coaches back to hotels near Ataturk.

And they were also giving free food vouchers if you were having more then 4hrs in between back at Atatürk. I will check that later in May. You get vouchers by TK Care point which is near Starbucks.

You can go on TK web page and click on booking and put your travel dates in and when flights will open click on yours. Between flights next to connection time you should see sign hotel or Touristanbul for free tour.

I see the little hotel icon next to "18h 10m" when I pull up the flight on the TK site as if I were making a new booking.
However, when I click on my booking reference in the receipt, it goes to a similar page with just the connection time of 18h 10m.
The notes on their site say "If your travel plans meet this criteria, please apply to our Hotel Desk at Istanbul Airport." I hope that works. I feel a little uneasy relying on that and showing up with no pre-booked hotel. Fingers crossed!

When I went to booking this was only flight that was available. So I think you will get free hotel.
