Award ticket only for membership owner??

Award ticket only for membership owner??

Trying to book award BLQ-IST-NAV for 2 people.
The message when i start the search is:
You can issue the first ticket only to your name in order to verify your membership. Subsequently, you can issue award tickets for other persons as well.
What does it mean? I can only buy the second ticket after i have bought the first for me? So i understand i can't use the miles in the account of my father for buying 2 tickets for me and my girlfriend, right?

you absolutely can book it for people other than yourself, even booking completely without yourself as part of PNR

As @deniah says, this should not be an issue. I have booked award tickets for others before, without me being on the ticket.

Did you do this after TK updated its website last year?

Thing is, I am also getting this error message...

I can confirm that I have made redemptions in the past, just for the pax traveling, without my needing me to be on the PNR / ticket.

where are you seeing that message?

you need to be logged on to run an award search, for sure. but nowhere during the search process does it require the name of pax. only at the actual booking step.

also try using the mobile app. ive just done this a few days ago

Yes, January, 16th. But only for web version. The app doesn't show that message
Now seems the web version is working well
