Hi, where do I go to pre book meals? My flight is within a week and on the website I only see option to order special meals.

I understand this function is still hit and miss and not available on all routes.

Iíve noticed on the last few flights in J that:

- pre-flight meal selection seems to be limited to flights departing IST.

- there definitely IS dine-on-demand, but itís not loudly announced and somewhat hidden on the bottom of the menu in small print:

My concern with choosing to dine later would be that others have scoffed all the best stuff and that I'd be left with the least tasty options. Conversely, maybe eating before everyone else would give me the opportunity to scoff all the tastiest things.

You can always Select what you like and ask the FA to keep a portion for later. I have done that with Qatar many times and I never experienced any issues. Also done it with Aegean too but thatís slightly different as they donít advertise/offer dine on demand.

Last time I flew Turkish J transatlantic, theyíve told me that dine on demand was available up to 2 hours before landing. I woke up 1 hour and 55 minutes before landing.

The implementation of the pre-order function is rather poor IMHO. Other airlines are more generous with the information and show the meals. At TK it is all rather sparse (example TK70 this week).

If you view the selection from the app, it also shows the pictures and short descriptions. But yea it can be better on the website.
