- This promotion is valid from 8nd March 2017 to 15th June 2017
- The related promotion will be applied only for Turkish Airlines scheduled flights. Promotion is not permitted on Turkish Airlines codeshare flights and Star Alliance member airline flights
- Only international flights are valid for this promotion.
- Only flights issued to the Miles&Smiles account during reservation, at the time of ticketing and before flight will be considered valid. Flights issued after flight is not valid. Miles credited after flight is not subject to this promotion.

So my upgrade to Elite Plus happened overnight as expected but now my status miles went down to 0, I still have the total miles as expected but when I try to book an award it tells me I don't have enough miles, anyone else experience this?

Quick clarification... Is this calculation correct for TLV-IST-LHR-IST-TLV as an Elite card holder flying in 'K' class?
TLV-IST: 1,600 * 1.60 *4 = 10,240
IST-LHR: 2,491 * 1.60 * 4 = 15,942
LHR-IST: 2,491 * 1.60 * 4 = 15,942
IST-TLV: 1,600 * 1.60 *4 = 10,240
= 52,364
Is this correct? Looking to book later today - thanks.

I have 31,000 status miles on my account with 81% to Elite Plus renewal. I am already elite plus. Does this mean if I get 9000 more miles I will automatically renew my status for 2 more years? If so that would be amazing lol I just became Elite Plus 2 days ago.

I think so. I expected that anything over 80000 would be "wasted". But when you get upgraded the excess seems to roll over into your renewal requirements. I suppose this is only becoming obvious and relevant because 4x status miles is a whole lot more than than the usual...

cln... I was quoting Business Class (J) not K as i indicated before, would my calcs be correct based on that?

well if that is the case talk about a Home Run lol. I am doing SOF-SIN in July with SQ in J for 1300e R/T and I will easily hit the 40000 status miles with that trip alone. Which if I understand correctly means 4 years of elite plus status and then 2 years of a elite after that
I'm normally a Oneworld regular, but TK will be getting at least one long haul per year for four years (for the free E+ upgrade) and *A will be seeing rather more of me, as I'm probably going to see what life is like without concern for status re-qualification... (plus a bunch of TK miles to spend...)

It seemed too good to be true and I was worried it wouldn't work, but as I fly a lot domestically in India and Thailand the thought of star alliance gold for 6 years was too much to resist.
I booked a milage run business class BHX-IST-JKT return.
It took a couple of weeks to get all my bonus miles credited (I had to ask them to help as only BHX-IST bonus miles credited automatically).
When the bonus miles hit my account I hit Elite + and all the miles above the 80,000 were credited towards renewal so on the same day I hit Elite I also received the notification that I have flown enough status miles that my card will automatically renew for another 2 years on Elite + once I reach the renewal deadline. I will have 4 years Elite+ dropping to Elite for the following 2 years if I don't keep up my flying (although I hope to keep the Elite +).
I was already Elite when I started so got the 1.6 bonus.
