Economy Ticket - Upgrade with Miles Vs Business Class Award Ticket?
I am planning to book on TK Flight IST-TAS-IST. I have 2 options :
1. Book Economy Return Ticket for 2000 TL and Upgrade both ways with 50000 Miles
2. Book Business Class Award Return Ticket for 80000 Miles plus 565 TL Taxes
Which option would you recommend to have the best value for miles utilisation?

I haven't done the maths in this specific example but I always used to get a reward ticket rather than upgrade - much better value. Now you earn less miles on economy fares I image that's even more the case.
The premium economy to business for 20000 miles did used to be a bit of a sweet spot I used once though.

This really depends on where you're traveling, if you're flying US/Canada - Europe/Middle East or Asia - Europe, or between US/Canada and East Asia/Africa, go with Award Business Class (Limited Capacity). From Europe to East Asia (especially Scandinavia), you might want to consider revenue J tickets sometimes considering the mileage accruals.
Speaking of award ticket, has anyone been able to book 1 way ticket with longer connection(s) at IST, rather than the quickest options given online?
ie: AMS - IST - Asia, 2 hours at IST, do you think my parents can do the mad dash at IST? I'd prefer longer connection instead.
