UA N CLASS Not credited on Miles and Smiles?

I recently flew LAX-SEA and then FLL-EWR on N class of United.
As this class is not mentioned on the Miles and Smiles website, as either NOT eligible/elgible [http://www.turkishairlines.com/en-in...ited-airlines], I wrote to their customer relations department in November.
Getting no answer, I called a few days later, and the TK REP told me that N... is ellgible.
TWO MONTHS LATER, after flying 1/2 segments above, I get an answer for my online question stating that "We received your message that you send us on 10 November 2014. Due to United Airlines program rules ''N'' class is not eligible for mileage accrual."
Firstly, on the UNITED website, N class IS ELIGIBLE for miles accrual- see https://www.united.com/CMS/en-US/Mar...es/united.aspx. Thus, according to "United Airlines program rules" it is.
Secondly, as noted, I CALLED prior to booking, back in November, as I didn't get an answer in writing the TURKISH representative, on the phone, told me that N is eligible!
Thirdly, is it right to await giving a client this kind of answer...AFTER HE FLEW?I asked in NOVEMBER, and get an answer only in January.
Finally, if this is the case, WHY is it not mentioned on the website? After all, there is mention all the rest of the classes that are not eligible for accrual.
I therefore asked that they do CREDIT me for N class over this trip.
Since then, to no avail- endless calls and emails, via their website, but they won't budge even for someone who is Elite plus.
Any ideas how to deal with them?
many thanks,

Welcome to FT.

Whatever it says on the UA website is irrelevant. They determine their own rules for their own programme.

UA N class is indeed not listed on the TK website which would lead me to think that it doesn't earn. The first TK agent might have gotten it wrong.

N is a new ultra-low fare class that emerged after the UA-CO merger. Have never encountered it. Historically, it was used for non-revenue passengers.

It is possible that partner airlines did not notice or have not been motivated to change. I don't think any * partner awards miles and in the beginning UA did not either, although I am not sure if it was intentional.

I've flown a couple 'N' flights with UA and did not receive Miles&Smiles credit. Since it is not listed on the earnings chart, my assumption was that this was correct.

How does one find the TK earning chart for Flying on UA Metal and Crediting to TK Miles and Smiles? If N class does not credit, I am curious to know what other UA Fare Classes Credit and at what percentage.. Thanks and Safe Travels

PS when clicking on the TK link in post #1 I get a 404 error..

THY website - Miles&Smiles - Earn Miles - When You Fly - United Airlines.

Not that hard, is it?

As of today, there is a new UA earn chart that now includes N at 50%. 500 mile / segment minimum remains.
