Likelihood of Cancelation

Hi,

Is TK prone to canceling flights at the end of the day a la United?

My wife and I want to take an evening flight from Capadoccia (Nevsehir or Kayseri) late in the evening. The Kayseri flight is at 2230, and the Nevsehir flight is at 2200. We have a flight from IST to MUC the following day that departs at 1150.

In the event either flight is canceled, Kayseri has an 0600 flight, while Nevsehir's next flight isn't until noon. Because Nevsehir is closer to where we're staying we'd prefer to fly from there. But, because Kayseri has an earlier backup in the event of a cancelation, we think it might be safer to fly from Kayseri. Any thoughts? Does it even matter?

Thanks,
Jonathan

No, it does not work this way on TK. Unless there are good operational reasons, the flights will not be cancelled. There are too many connecting pax on these flights. Can you imagine the nightmare it will be to rebook pax? - so random flight cancellations are not going to happen.

Book the flight from Nevsehir and in the unlikely event that your flight is cancelled for some reason, ask to be rebooked from Kayseri the next day.

Also in the event of cancellation, how does TK re-accommodate passengers? In my case I have ESB-IST, if my flight is cancelled, will they just put me on the next available flight?
