Just noticed the TK EcoFly myself on the BEG-IST route, if I understood it correctly I still get a check in bag as an Elite/Elite+.

But what are these bonus miles they mention. In my situation all 3 economy options are offered as P-class, however the up-saled ones offer 25% and 50% extra miles. Does the normal one still offer the default P booking class 25% status miles?

United airlines plus points upgrade

Am a new member of Turkish Airlines miles and smiles program.

Planning to fly Tokyo to San Francisco on ANA and use United Airlines plus points to upgrade from Premium Economy to Business. Assuming the upgrade goes through how easy Is it to have the miles credited to my Turkish Miles and Smiles account.

Further if the mileage is not credited automatically how efficient is Turkish if I were to submit the paid ticket and boarding passes.

Also what are the chances for the upgrade to go through. I have used these plus points for upgrades on Lufthansa and till today all upgrades have been confirmed and mileage automatically credited to my United Mileage Plus account.

Yes, you get one check-in bag and you do not need to select in in the booking process. Extra miles are additional to the miles you would get on your EcoFly fare. If you go though the booking process and after selecting all flight click on "Fare Rules" you will see the exact amount of miles you are getting, including the extra miles.

TK handles miles credit requests pretty fast: 1-3 weeks. You should have a ticket without a FF program or with the Miles&Smiles FF number added to your ticket/reservations to be able to credit to Miles&Smiles. Are you doing a TK Status Match? Because ANA is not Turkish metal. I do not have experience upgrading with United Mileage Plus - maybe that is something you need to ask in the United Mileage section of Flyertalk forum.

Not the partner airlines, but TK itself:

If flying on TK (and AnadoluJet) operated flights are in questions, then you will earn exactly the number of Miles and Status Miles that are show on "Manage booking" page for your reservation (if already booked) or (if not booked yet) on the booking page in the step after selecting both flights when you expand "Fare Rules". No need for calculation there. No need to applying those multipliers either. In case of *A partner flights, the calculation of miles is different ot this chart.

Must infants always be assigned to the window seat?

Spouse and I would like to be seated in the center seats of the 1-2-1 config on 789. The website doesnt allow us to pick seats at all. The mobile all does, but is quite buggy and doesnt show rows 1/3/5/7 as available.

Would like to know if infant are allowed before attempting to call the hotline.

11 hour flight on TK (first time) - tips and advice welcome

Hello. I'll be flying TK for the first time in my life. Both transatlantic flights in economy. One in b777, another in b787.

Any tips and recommendations how to survive a 10 hour flight on the outbound, and 11 hour flight on the inbound?

Try to sleep? And when not sleeping, eat the meal served to you and use the IFE or read a book?

I have always sat in the middle two seats on QR 787's with my toddler. That was a few years back though.

There is always a bit more seat pitch furthest back in the bus on the 77W. This goes for A-B and J-K seats where 2-3-2 configuration. Last row is no go!

Interesting suggestion! I have a 3 hour layover in Istanbul. Do you think sitting in row 51 or 52 will be ok to make the connection?

If so, will you recommend row 51 or 52? And window seat or an aisle seat?

Sorry, I can't remember regarding seat but my guess is that it doesn't matter.
And yes you will have plenty of time!
