I think TK is about to make this thread obsolete. Yesterday I saw that at the entrance to the lounge there are new terminals that dispense a wifi password after scanning a boarding pass. This password looks pretty random, so I think it's personalized for each user. For now there are still the pieces of paper with the universal password available and they still work, but it looks like TK is preparing to make a switch.

As a side note The personal user/pass one receives is a random password, but username is prefix+PNR. I guess the prefix is randomized somehow, otherwise I don't know how they deal with multiple persons on the same PNR.

One can still use TK / ISTANBUL2017 also, which is on the good ol' white notes littered all over the lounge.

IST Lounge WiFi changes
The bits of paper with the WiFi code have gone from the lounge at IST.
There are now electronic stands where you scan your boarding pass or mobile phone and it prints out an individual user name and password time limited for three hours.
I’ve seen two stands so far downstairs by the stairs beside the pide station and the tea garden area. I’m sure there are others as well.
