What is Business Class like on the B738?
It seems that the C class cabin on B738s is configured 2-2. Is that the case on all B738s, or only some? How comfortable are those seats, they seem to have a lot of legroom - can the recline back very well, too?
Anything else I should know about Business Class on the B738?

There are (at least) three different types of seats on TK 738. Two of them are convertable standard seats, i.e. the middle seat is left empty, yet one of them has movable armest (increasing the width of the two remaining seats) and the other doesn't. Then there is a third configuration, which features "real" business class seats in a 2x2 arrangement. The seat pitch is about 35' for the convertible ones (yes, more than further back) and 38' for the real ones.
Overall, you are more likely to get the convertible ones, as they only have very few aircraft (I recall only 2) with real ones. They operate on the longer routes to the Middle East and Central Asia - but even there you usually get the convertible ones.

It seems that the new web site only links to seatmap of one 738, of course the newest one...
Here is a list of all birds and numbers for every measurement too in business class.
Funny enough they list all 738 as 2+2 abreast. So you can't use that number to figure out wich one has blocked middle seat.

Just flew the 739...J seats have a better recline angle than the CC seats...all in all it was ok but for a 7 hour flight- I prefer a wide body with full flat.

Yes; they do have a slightly better recline, but are still the same Recaro seats (in leather) as in CC. Considering that the new 738s/321s will fly mostly short/medium haul routes; I believe they offer a very competitive J product.

Meneer, as I stated before all configurations are 2x2, but there are substantial differences in respect of pitch and recline.
I understand that NBO will be one of the 739 routes, with the better seats, but I don't know if this already the case for all flights.

B/C Configuration
Anyone knows how to distinguish which 738s have the newer business class with 38' pitch and no middle seat?
Am looking at IST to VCE in Aug (all 738s), with some seat maps showing 20 seats (5 rows of 2x2) and others 12 seats (3 rows of 2x2). Is there a way to tell which 738 has the newer bus class?
Many thanks guys!

AFAIK I've only flown on on a 737-900 series with the new seats. The majority of the 737-800s only have the main seats, ie same pitch as economy.

I just flew couple of 737-800 to/from Europe, both had 2 seats per C row. Less legroom than on 737-900 but certainly good enough for 2-3 hour flights. Very similar to UA Domestic First class seat experience. Those TK 737-800 had only 3 rows of business class.

I flew IST-NBO return in December and the outbound was the older aircraft, the only one that week but on my return I flew on a new 738 which from flight24 is more often than not a new 738. http://data.flight24.com/flights/tk607/
Hope this helps!
