Name does not match
 
I am missing some THY miles, but when trying to enter them on the THY site get the message that the name on the card does not match the name on the ticket! Well it does - I have never had this problem before - so perhaps there is a new bug in the system? Aaargh! Am I going to have to ring 'customer' services?

I had a similar problem few days ago. Just call customer services and have your ticket details at hand, they will credit your flights instantly. Also you might want to reconfirm you name/names on file. Apparently they have become stricter regarding matching names, had to adjust the appearance of my middle name on file.

FlyerTalkers biggest fear are missing miles and downgrades:D

I had the same problem with one of my bookings. I found it easier. to just scan my passport and my ID and email it to them with the ticket details. ( I had used my ID name when opening my account, rather than passport). After that incident, I sent them a second email, to change my name on the account to match my passport rather than ID, again attaching that scanned image.

Did they change the names in the account? I have to always add my middle name on the bookings because i have it on my M&S account and the system is not clever enough to notice this. I have one upcoming booking where expedia somehow cut my name and my middle name is missing the last letter. Interesting to see if i get the miles automatically. Topped my skype and ready for some nice conversation with call center! ;)

Yes they changed my name on the online account which is where it matters (it might be different on the new card that is on its way), since it helps for the booking and helps with the miles automatically showing up.
