Do you know which lounge will be using during these 2 months?

There had better be a reasonable option for my 5 hour "stay" at the airport on May 15th as I have no place to go but to stay in the airport or pay a $60 visa fee to exit!

The email they sent today did not propose a solution, or backup plan at all.

Great news! ^ Maybe different section for their most loyal elite+ customers and separate area for *G and elite-members..

The international lounge will be closed off for two months. They have not decided yet on what the interim solution will be. The problem is that none of the other lounges at IST could handle the amount of TK pax at once, especially during the summer schedule. I guess they will have to contract more than one lounge, I doubt that the Banks who own the other lounges will be accommodating, or hand out vouchers. Let's wait and see...

well hopefully something good will come out this renovation. I wish they could do a sort of Premium Terminal Area if they just drew a line from the special entrance all way through the lounge. I agree the other lounges at IST are way to small to handle the amount of traffic that TK gets , none of them is big enough. Let's see what happens

Looks like TK will be using the World Lounge (Yapi Kredi Bank) for its pax. This is the lounge next to the Airport Hotel.

Here's hoping that they get rid of the 'football changing room' showers and fit proper individual shower rooms ^

and that is not the least of the things they need to do, the current (former) lounge needs so many things to be done, I can only hope that they have someone half competent doing it...................and then once its done make sure the staff are trained in certain basic things........

Oh boy. I have a 9.5 hour layover on the 22nd. Here's hoping that things haven't gone completely to hell with the first day confusion.

After the renovation catering is to be provided by Turkish Do&Co. Looks like TK is getting rid of BTA catering despite of resistance by TAV (Airport Operator). I really hope this happens. TK is moving in the right direction^
