Thank you very much for the fast reply. And my apologies for not noticing this thread sooner.

TK 868 IST-AUH on 28/03 is showing A330-200 with three rows of Business class 2-2-2 config on Expertflyer. This corresponds to none of the 4 configurations for 332 on seatguru, and seatmaestro tells me the flight would be operated by AnadoluJet, but they don't have twin aisle aircrafts!?
Flightradar24 is showing this route is currently served by 332/333 on Mon/Thu/Sat with A321 on the other days.

Which aircraft could this be on Thu 28/03?

Probably one of the leased A330-200's. It's impossible that the flight would be operated by AnadoluJet. I don't have enough information about leased A330's but there are minimum 10 different configurations so it's impossible to know if it's recliner seats or full flat seats until someone creates a data page.

I have the same seatmap for TK1045 IST-OTP. It's listed as a A330-203 ok my TK booking details. It's a very short flight so it doesn't matter to me if it's lie flat or not...

Thanks, with this information I found the following flights in the coming days to be operated with this config, maybe on 23/03 I can see on flightradar which aircraft it is.

23/03 TK 1043 IST-OTP aircraft changed to 333 (33S)
23/03 TK 413 IST-VKO operated by TK aircraft TC-LNB 332
24/03 TK 413 IST-VKO operated by TK aircraft TC-JNE 332
25/03 TK 868 IST-AUH operated by TK aircraft TC-JNC 332
26/03 TK 1045 IST-OTP operated by TK aircraft TC-JND 332
28/03 TK 868 IST-AUH operated by TK aircraft TC-LNB 332

Conclusion: The shown config of 3 rows 2-2-2 in business actually exists at least on TC-LNB (ex-Kingfisher) and probably on other ex-Kingfisher planes. Due to frequent equipment changes predictions are difficult though.

The first row of 737-900ER can be selected without paying the extra legroom fee.
Does this mean 737-900ER's first row of Economy doesn't have extra legroom?

If you mean row 5 in Economy, it does have extra legroom just a little bit ( maybe 2-3 inches more ) but the divider wall could be bothering. You would need to jump over passengers to access the aisle if you would prefer the middle or the windows seats. Also if there is a baby on your flight, you may be dumped from that row as in TK 737-900ER's row 5 is the baby bassinet row.

Hi,

I'm flying SFO-IST on TK80. It looks to be a 777-800er. I'm going with family (wife + 2 little kids) in econ, so am looking at bulkheads... but I don't like how the armrests don't move up. Any suggestions between rows 11, 23, and 42? I read somewhere that the armrest between 23 D/E actually go up. Is this actually true, and is the same thing is true for row 11? Also, I read that the wall in front of 11 D/E/G is really close (i.e. no legroom benefit). Can anyone confirm this?

If 23 D/E do have moveable armrests, I'll probably go with 23 D/E/G and 24 C. However, i don't like how i would be essentially 1 row diagonally behind. Else, if 11 D/E has moveable armrests, I could do 11 C/D/E/G.

In a TK 777-800ER ( 777-300ER ) the best bulkheads are row 23/24; as the kids would not be able to sit at 24 ABC and HJK; if I were you, I would choose 23DEG and 24C. Row 11 has less legroom than row 23/24 and the wall could be bothering as well. Also you could be dumped from row 11 easily, because of a passengers requiring baby bassinets. The only time I would prefer row 11 to 23/24 is when flying to the USA from IST to skip 10-20 people at immigration as US CBP may be painful for non-US-citizens at some point. Also be aware that you need to pay for these seats and as TK legroom on 77W regular economy seats are around 32-33', it may not be worth it to pay. Row 11, and the DEG block of row 23 and 42 becomes free for everyone on OLCI but in most cases someone would pay for those seats beforehand so you won't have the chance in most circumstances.

Just to add, row 11 also has the privilege that the meals would be served from row 11 so in both services, your choice of meal would be available. Until it comes to row 23/24; they may be out of some meal options.

Hi there,
Taking Turkish airlines for the first time in a couple of days.

Flying in J, TK52 IST/NRT, plane is 777, currently took seat 1J. is that good?
I'd rather have window seat but the only option is 7A - I understand it has no windows and is close to the economy class bathrooms - is that so? Great to have advice on this

Thanks!!

On the 777-300ER, do you folks prefer the smaller 3-row cabin or the larger 4-row cabin?

I like the smaller one, but can’t give you a good reason for it.

738 vs 73J vs 321 Biz?

From Istanbul to Frankfurt, I have the option of a 738 through Zagreb, a 321 to Nuremberg or Venice, or a 73J to Budapest.

Expertflyer shows the Nuremberg flight as a 32N. Is that an ex-Kingfisher bird? Which aircraft is likely to have the nicest biz seat? Travel date is August 29th.

As 737-MAX-8's are not in operation, it's highly possible that aircraft types could be changed.
You could check the fleet guide to see which aircraft has which seat.

By the way, 32N is an A321neo.

My TK flight into BUD this fall shows as J with middle seat blocked. IDK if that’s the usual equipment on that route.
