Hey thanks.....so the question is, is the configuration 2-3-2 or 1-2-1? Because the agent said 1-2- and seat expert shows 2-3-2

I flew on a TK 777-300ER in March on NRT-IST. I posted my photos in a trip report.

Tk sin - ist (a330)

Will be flying Y class for the first time on TK.

Has anyone experienced this route?

Would love to hear some thoughts and how it compares to SQ on the same route.

Cheers.

I am book in J on a 1 2 1 config as well

I am booked on the "1" side as per the agent on my flight from IST to JFK in late Feb on the 777 in J .....which does not match the seat map either.

However, on my flight to IST its on the 777 as well -- but the config is 2-3-2 as per the agent in J....

I have a feeling they still have some of the Jet aircraft in their system and they are selling the F as J..... would be nice if that is true! We will see.....

I called again and asked them for my flight from JFK to IST. This time they said its 2-3-2 and that it was a mistake earlier. Seems like they have fixed the glitch from the agent's side. So, the 777 I will be flying on is 2-3-2.

IMHO, SQ has the better overall Y product on this route. SQ fly their 772s while TK use their 340/330s. Both have IFE, I prefer the content of Krisworld though over TK's Planet. TK does have a slighter edge on catering, however, the quality of Turkish Do&Co meals has been deteriorating lately. SQ has usually also the better cabin service.

I thought all the 340's had the new AVOD system but I saw a picture a few months ago showing a 340 w/o AVOD - could have been old though. That being said I have flown JFK-IST-TLV on TK quite often and whenever it was a 340, always AVOD (and great, at that!). great aircraft, feels like new! Service can be brisk and emotion-less, especially on TLV-IST flights (always completely full, tons of kids, short flight and need to do full meal service with all of that etc). The food is delicious, if you enjoy Middle Eastern food; that being said, they may have Western options, but I'm not sure as I'd never order one ..

anyone else have any info re: 340s?

TK 1587 (IST-FRA): 777, 330, or 321?

I'm flying TK 1587 (IST to FRA) on July 26 in business. At the time of booking, TK's website indicated that the flight was on a 330, but I've noticed on Flight Aware that the equipment regularly rotates among the 777, 330, and 321.

It's a short flight, but obviously I'd prefer the 330 (or especially the 777 with lie flats!) over a narrowbody. Are there particular days of the week where one is more likely to be downgauged to the 321?

Thanks in advance for any insights you can share.

I should add that neither TK nor Flight Aware specifies whether the 330 is a -200 or -300.

Any takers? I'd be grateful for any information from those who are familiar with this flight. Thanks.
