E+ members receive two upgrade vouchers per membership year that can be used as system-wide upgrades. Vouchers are not delivered to E+ status holders in physical or electronic form and only exist on the screens of TK agents.

It is advisable to call TK to verify the number of vouchers you have prior to and after the upgrade (unless you have no vouchers left).

Upgrades are done by calling TK CS or a local TK office (by phone or email).

One voucher is needed to upgrade per direction. For example, the itinerary LHR-IST-BKK will need one voucher to upgrade, and the itinerary LHR-IST-BKK-IST-LHR will need two vouchers. If an agent tells you otherwise, HUCA.

How to find itineraries with availability for a voucher upgrade?
Find an itinerary in any class in Y that has 4 seats left in J booking class on the same itinerary as the Y. To be extra cautious, you may also check the individual legs (when applicable) for 4 seats left in J booking class. For example, for the itinerary LHR-IST-BKK, check at least that LHR-IST-BKK has 4 seats left in J booking class, and in addition, check LHR-IST and IST-BKK individually too.

You can no longer check for upgrade availability without having an e-ticket number.

A relatively low-risk method of proceeding is therefore...

1) Reserve a ticket online with TK but don't pay for the ticket yet. Just put it on hold for 48 hours for free for E+ members.
2) Book an economy class ticket on the same itinerary with a reputable USA-based OTA that offers a 24-hour cooling-off / full refund period.
3) Once you have received your e-ticket number, call TK CS to process the upgrade.
4) Ask the agent to check if the ticket in (2) is upgradeable with your vouchers. Do not upgrade this ticket; just check.
5) If upgradeable, ask the agent to hold for a bit and pay for the ticket in (1). Upon payment and ticketing, ask the agent to upgrade this ticket.
6) Cancel for free the ticket in (2).

Another even lower-risk method would be to skip (1) and just upgrade the ticket in (2). If unsuccessful with the E+ upgrade, you can proceed to cancel your economy ticket within the 24-hour cooling-off period. Going with this route, you would then have to be in contact with the OTA and not TK in cases of schedule change, cancellation, or IIROP, which is not usually advisable unless you really have to.

You might be asked to enter a PIN number via an automatic system to access your vouchers; this is the PIN you use to log on to your TK M&S account.

The following seemed to be fixed already:
If you used miles or a voucher to upgrade, please check the number of miles you've earned after the flight. The system automatically issues the minimum number of miles (25%) even though you might have had the full economy class prior to the upgrade (you could indeed have earned 100%). The miles are adjusted within 1-2 days after sending a request via the "Feedback Form" on the TK website.

This has been fixed ( or at least during my last ELPL voucher trip ) back in the spring were I was correctly credited 100% for "Q" fare class on an ELPL voucher added ticket.

Is it standard that the flights have to be available individually AND jointly? Unclear to me from the wiki, but was just denied for flights that were not available individually.

TK dummy booking to check J fare code availability

Expertflyer might be accurate in finding availability for ELPL vouchers but YMMV.
Hey ISTflyer,
When you write to do a dummy booking, would the "4 left at this price" and "J-J class" messages in the screenshot below be sufficient confirmation that there is enough availability in J fare code?

Or is it best to continue the booking flow to check if I can actually book 4 passengers in J:

Or would you suggest to go through all the way, except payment?

No need to continue with the booking beyond the message 4 left at this price for J booking class on TK website or app.

In your case, may want to check individually that AMS-IST and IST-TPE also have 4 seats left in J booking class.

Noted on the wiki. Should be deleted altogether if we receive more DPs.

Another big problem with TK staff/IT I just realized this morning. TK changed a (e+ voucher) upgraded flight and the connection time at IST is now less than 1 hour. I tried to call the well known number and spoke to 3 different agents. As expected I received 3 different answers. You must understand either they tell you lies or are not well educated.
My last chance, (since the ZRH/MUC offices are also useless for this kind of process)is the feedback form. Please kindly redeposit the 2 vouchers in a safe way. Maybe I can cancel the flights online.
I am not willing to continue with TK under such shabby conditions.

I have also sucessfully upgraded with e+ upgrade vouchers and one of my flight (out of 2) has been cancelled and apparently I lose both flights and therefore both upgrades and need to rebook in economy, eventhough there is another flight a few hours earlier? Or can I keep the second flight that has not been cancelled incl. Its upgrade?

FRA-IST-BKK (FRA - IST has been cancelled but there is an earlier flight available). Or should I object and escalate the case beyond the feedback team or am I fu..ed with my upgrades?

they really need to sort the system out so when they offer an upgrade it can be done online with vouchers - like you can do with miles
FF status when you're logged in should surely be able to show their back end they are valid.
It's pretty pre-historic having to contact call centres / local offices all the time
The whole process is somewhat tedious now

And I'll like to add that TK should provide the upgrade ability during ticket purchase. I select the flights, apply the upgrades and only then pay for the ticket. If the upgrade doesn't do through so does the payment.

My apologies if this has been asked before. Say I want to upgrade the LHR-IST-BKK wiki example above. All married segment flights (LHR-IST-BKK) show J0 but the IST-BKK individual segment shows J4 (preferred LHR-IST is J0 but I can find an alternative, less ideal flight with J1 LHR-IST segment only).

Can I use the E+ voucher and upgrade the IST-BKK segment alone or do I need the married segment to have J4 because that's how agents see it? I don't mind seating in Y for the LHR-IST segment. Thank you in advance.

Yes flights from the UK are very busy. You can upgrade just IST-BKK segment and ask to be on the waiting list for the LHR-IST flight. I have done that a few times, I think on the same route.

I have a flight (connecting in IST) in J which was upgraded using vouchers. The flight has a schedule change. Can I OLCI 24 hours before the flight or should I wait to check in at the airport in order not to lose my upgrade and suddenly end up in Y?

I would recommend calling to accept the change. You may need the upgrade to be applied again.

Never had a problem as you describe. In the past, I have never accepted a change because of the chance of a TK call agent to accidentally mess my ticket and lose the vouchers. BTW once in a reply to a feedback form, TK told me the same, i. e., not to accept the changes because of the chance of losing the vouchers.

Has TK improved their IT that they finally manage to keep E+ upgrade after time change? I am struggling if I should accept the online time change confirmation or not.
This is only one leg of my EDI-IST-KUL flight.
