Class question Plus

On my flight ticket from Dublin to Bangkok via Istanbul it has U in the class section. I thought F was the class for Economy, has it changed?

Also how do I get into the system to see if I can pre book a seat in advance.

The class depends on the type of fare paid. Usually Economy is referred as Y (usually Y is the most expensive ticket in economy as it has no restriction or so whatever) while F usually stands for First Class. Airline use this price discrimination schemes to extract the most amount of money from passenger who have different price sensitivity.

You can choose your seat online at their website www.thy.com and use their online check-in feature.

for the later part i doubt that yo can print your boarding pass at home as i read that this feature is not available in dublin.

How can I determine the actual fare class from the Turkish booking site? What class does Promotional Economy fall into?

You can access your e-ticket information (fare basis and class) from this link:

http://www4.thy.com/mybookings/etinput.tk

During the online booking process, you will first see the type of fare when choosing the ticket type (flexible/promotional) then when you reach the payment page you can see the fare class ( K,S,Y etc.)

Luckily I don't know which class promotional economy falls into:D

I would call up TK CS for that info.
