The sticker is a ridiculous idea. The printout should be enough to indicate that you are enroled. I got the third degree back on 30 Jan when I returned to ORD from PVG. Was directed to the office to get a GE sticker. Of course, when I had got there, they were closed for 15 minutes, so I left. Based on that, I am never going to get a sticker. They can piss off.

Same here. I was the first Canadian the officer at ORD had processed (it was a couple of days after the cards started arriving) so we went through a couple of glitches. He put the sticker on the back of my passport...some have said theirs was put on the front. Doesn't really matter.

I had to get mine at ORD too - no fingerprints required - just to get the sticker.

Before that I dropped into the office at YYZ but they said they needed to take my fingerprints and that I needed an appointment...of course booking months ahead.

So just happened to be at ORD soonafter and dropped into the GE office there and they said no problem, no fingerprints needed (already in file) and they added the sticker.

Okay I'm confused.

Sticker? no Sticker?

Our Nexus Appt is in March and others have said don't worry you will be automatically enrolled in GE.

Now others say you need a sticker?

I am confused!

Hello all,
Today I received an email that I got approved for Nexus program and need to set up an interview. From the approved letter, it indicated that if you do air travel, you need to do iris scan. My questions are:
1)Is that correct? or I read it wrong?
2)If it is true, which location has the iris scan? ( I located in NY and Toronto) or can some one link the website?
3) I will in Toronto for the interview and I prefer to go to Whirlpool NY but is reserved for subscribers to NEXUS. Does that mean I can not go there without the Nexus card? even drive there?

Thanks for your help....

1. Yes, you need the iris scan for air travel.
2. Most of them. There's a list on the Nexus site.
3. Cross over on the Rainbow Bridge, drive along to the Whirlpool office, they'll give you a pass to go over the bridge and get your iris scan done on the Canadian side.

Actually, if they don't succeed at getting your iris scan, they give you a "no iris" sticker.

Then you simply need to go to the agent. But you can still use the Nexus line.

Mrs sing-along applied for her renewal on 12DEC. It was approved on 26JAN however we did not check until 29JAN. We then scheduled her appointment for 31JAN at YVR. No need to re-scan her iris. In a week we should have her replacement card. She was advised to destroy her old card.

Online (GOES) I noticed that expiry dates are now aligned to the cardholder's birthdate. My wife's card was to expire in March, however, her next expiry in 2017 is on her birthdate.

Cheers

Applied for renewal Dec 25, conditionally approved Feb 3.

Sorry,I'm still not sure how to start a new thread so I'm piggybacking on the last one.
Question for those PDF TDC forms for NEXUS members.

Last weekend I headed down to WA state for the day and submitted a TDC form to the officer on the way back home. (I live in Vancouver)
I put my credit card information on the form for any tax and duties to be charges. Then a few days later, I had to cancel this card as my bank account had been compromised.
I called the NEXUS office about updating my credit card information (explaining what happened) and they said they're about a month behind with processing the forms and to call with the new credit card number once I receive it.
I did ask them to put a note on my file about this.

Has anyone experienced this? Having to change the credit card information? I don't have the original TDC cards as I became a member early 2011.

Will there be a problem if CBSA processes my TDC form with my old credit card information? Apparently they'll send a letter saying they couldn't process the charges and to call the office with a new credit card number.
Or is this grounds for cancelling my membership?

Any information would be great.

thanks!

There's no way they'll cancel your membership for this. They'll either send you a letter, call or simply throw the thing out. I've never had this problem but it surely happens from time to time.

@atsak
Thanks for your reply. I do think cancelling a membership over a credit card is extreme.
Maybe they did in the beginning but with the volume of TDC forms to process, it would be a lot of extra work.

Only a month behind. Last year when I did this the charges showed up 3 months later!

I went to update employment info on GOES and could not find anywhere to do this, am I missing something or is think one of those things you have to go in and change?

It seems odd you can update passport but not other less important information.

I had a similar experience with a TDC. I got a nasty phone call from the clerk trying to run my credit card. They did in fact mention that I could loose my membership over the credit card issue. I'm pretty sure it was simply a case of someone having a bad day...
