Adding a new visa to GE
 

Anyone got any insight on what happens when you get a new visa and need to get it added to your GE profile?

Am a U.K. citizen; my O1 has expired so I now have a new one.

On arrival do I need to go to the usual GE kiosk or go see someone at a desk?

I’m pretty sure I have to go to an enrolment centre to get my new visa added, but the centre at DFW closes an hour after I land, so unsure if I’ll get to it in time. What do I do in this instance?

Do not use GE kiosk until you have all of your documents updated in your profile as it will result in you being 1) admitted with the incorrect class (WT/WB instead of O1) or 2) given an incorrect admission period (old O1's expiration instead of new O1).

The proper way is to enter using the regular lane to have yourself admitted by an officer using the new O1 visa first and then update your new visa at an enrollment center for future GE usage.

By the book, all updates are to be done at the Enrollment Center (EC) only but it doesn't hurt to ask the officer to see if the Enrollment On Arrival (EOA) officer can assist with updating your profile.
If the EOA is not backed up, and you're polite about it, they are capable of doing the update since it's the same system that the EC uses. But if they say no, just don't push it and hurry to the EC or wait until you're at the airport again. EOA has no obligation to do the update.
