Rescanning fingerprints, Global Entry and appointments

I tried to stop by the GE office yesterday at SFO to get my 5 year old's fingerprints rescanned (they keep getting rejected). She is a member of GE, but we always end up having to go talk to an officer because of the fingerprint issue.

I was told I needed to make an appointment to do this, I would have thought it was similar to APEC. et. al, when you could just drop by.

Given the wait time for appointments is.... eternity @sfo, does anybody here have experience trying to get their fingerprints updated?

Thanks!

I can't find anything recent, this is from about three years ago; based upon the OP's posting history, I believe that the enrollment center is question is EWR:

He also said that once the kid turns 4 or so they should just come back to the interview center and wait for an officer to come out for those with appointments and let them know you're there to have a child's fingerprints added to their records.
