What are common reasons for delays of approvals of Global Entry applications?
Four of us in our family All applied on Oct. 5. Three of us received conditional approval within four days. Husband still waiting. All same last name. Worth noting that husband also always gets that X on his customs entry receipt--although never received an explanation and he always gets approved for entry without additional questioning. He does have a common name.

Best advice is not to dwell on this. Absolutely nothing you can do to speed this up or to make it happen if it won't happen. Could be anything from a glitch, to a bad guy with a name and DOB which are a close match to an old DUI or something real and serious. If you dwell on it, you will drive yourself crazy.
