List of Global Entry Enrollment Centers

Post your walk-in experiences in the Wiki. If you cannot update the Wiki, then please post in the thread, and someone will paste your data point. Please format it as such under the enrollment center where you attempted to walk-in:

Yes/No [If Yes, put how long you waited in brackets] (Date and time attempted)

If someone in your family had an appointment at that time, please note that, too.

Examples:
Yes [45m] (4/2/2016 10am w/ a family member who had an appointment)
Yes [2h] (4/18/2016 3pm)
No (5/2/2016 12pm w/ a family member who had an appointment)
Yes [25m] (5/10/2016 9am)

One appointment, one walkin?

I have my interview appt in a few days at BOS. My spouse is conditionally approved but his interview is not until a few months from now. I'm wondering if it's worth a shot bringing him along amd asking if they'll let him do his interview as a walkin? I've heard very mixed reviews on walkins at BOS so I'm not sure if it's worth it.

Yes. Bring him. No. Do not use the term "walk-in". Simply ask whether it is possible for him to be processed at the same time. CBP has a history of processing families together and there is a decent chance that your assigned Officer will do that.

Just be there a bit early, have all of the paperwork ready and be pleasant about asking. The worst that happens is a "no" and a wasted trip for him.

BOS is not the most customer friendly location as I discovered. I managed to get a walk-in but only because I parked myself outside the office for about an hour and several people no-showed back to back. I think the officer took me just to get rid of me.

You might have more luck since you already have an appointment though.

re: BOS

I was there for my interview a few days ago. My spouse wasn't able to come along so I couldn't try to bring him for a walk-in.

Anyway, when I arrived, there were a few people waiting and the CBP Officer was very sternly and emphatically telling the waiting group that no walk ins were going to be taken. He seemed pretty insistent that this is their general policy. They have a 6+ month waitlist in some cases (another family member is currently affected by this) and he said they could not take walk ins. SOme people questioned it further but the officer said don't try waiting, we're not going to take you, so don't stick around!

LAX Update

My wife and I took the chance and drove to LAX to see if we could arrange a walk-in interview. The answer is NO.

As we approached the counter we saw a sign that there were no walk-ins. We spoke to an employee and learned that there are no exceptions.

The answer to walk ins is no as others have said...however, they do often get cancellations and their calendar is fairly live and accurate. So while they don't take walk ins, you could schedule an appointment far out but keep an eye on the calendar for any cancellations in the near future if you are trying to get in earlier.

I confirmed this with GE when i had to cancel and reschedule my appointment.

Denver

The sign on the door specifically says no walk-in appointments are allowed.

I was only able to grab one close-in interview slot, but I brought my wife and two kids with me (they had November 15 dates). The officer was very hesitant in letting my family in. In the end, they were all processed and approved.

Takeaway: they might be more lenient if you brought just your significant other; be prepared to be turned away if you bring a large family for one time slot.

While they don't accept walk-ins, you can call for a same day if they have last minutes cancellations not reflected in the system

BOS - No - I tried walking up 6/2/2016. The BOS office is not very friendly. The door is down a hallway with a sign that said "interview in progress, do not enter". There is no person outside greeting you. I waited until they opened the door for someone else and told the person I just wanted to ask a question. I asked the CBP officer if they'd take walk ins and they said no. The next available interview is January 2017. I'm so frustrated at this point. I would have done precheck if I'd known the global entry wait time was going to be this long.

Keep checking the website as others have instructed. All of the appointments have a lot of churn. The available appt can change hourly if not more rapidly.

JFK or EWR for walk-ins

Our newborn just received conditional approval for GE and we are scheduled to leave this Thursday from EWR. No scheduled appointments available in that time period. Is it worth trying for a walk-in, and if so which NY-area airport?

Many thanks.

silly question, if I showed up for an unscheduled appointment, do you think they'll take me if they have time?

Has anyone tried that before? I figure since SFO is now a 24/7 location, I can stroll by around midnight and see if they'll take me.

SFO Interview slots open

Hey all,

This isn't about walk-ins per se, but I just checked available appointments this morning at SFO and they opened up a bunch of very early morning, and late evening interview slots you can sign up for in June.

Available times started at midnight until about 5:00am and then from 8:00pm to midnight again. I was able to move my November appointment to next week! Tons of slots open for now.
