These are special enrollment events that are occasionally hosted at various locations like employers, embassies, conferences, etc.

IPW2016 is likely the IPW conference in New Orleans June 18-22
CSOTC-Colorado Springs Olympic Training Center?

With a little research and searching through CBP press releases you may be able to decipher some others.

If you can figure out the location and GOES lets you make an appointment who knows if it will work but it would seem that it would be hard for them to turn you away if you showed up with a confirmed appointment letter in hand.

As I am also SFO based I had a similar situation as you in finding appointments for my kids. I was able to make them appointments at an special enrollment event a one of our local tech companies (Wasn't to hard to figure out which one it was) but they never got to use the appointment. We were picking someone up at the airport a few days before with some time to kill and the SFO enrollment center took them as walk ins.

SFO is tough. Just make an appointment sometime somewhere so your application doesn't expire and keep checking the availability multiple times every day until something opens up.

Even at locations which don't take walk-ins, it always pays to pop in and see if they will take you. Have your letter handy and be ready to go.

If you fly AA and ever transit through DFW, they have tons of openings.

IAH Terminal E (Requires Boarding Pass)

German Passport processing time:
Initial enrollment: April 18
Conditionally Approved: May 10

quick question: Trying to schedule my interview during layover time at IAH Terminal E that requires Boarding Pass.

If I'm arriving from an international flight to IAH and continue with a domestic flight from IAH terminal D, will my boarding pass let me into the secure area of Terminal E?
Will 4 hours layover time in IAH be enough to land, go through immigration, security and customs, be on time for the interview and make the connection flight?

In my experience at IAH, for non US Citizens, immigration and customs can take up to 2 or 3 hours (usually less), depending on your arrival time. Do a google and you'll find the immigration wait times in US airports. 4 hours SHOULD be enough, unless your arrival is delayed.

And there is no problem moving between terminals.

A few years ago there was a TRAVEL SHOW (being held on one of the HUDSON RIVER piers in NYC), CBP was doing interviews there. I wonder if CBP interviews at other similar events (shows)?

Not at O'Hare! I watched a couple get HUMILIATED in front of a full waiting room of people by the officer for showing up without an appointment. He really let them have it. I DO NOT recommend the "walk up" approach without thick skin and very likely an empty-handed exit.

Just had my interview yesterday and thought I'd post an update. The office is easy to find. It's just to the left of McDonalds on the lower level arrivals area and there is a big sign outside the door with an arrow and "ENROLLMENT CENTER". The hardest part is weaving through all of the people milling around waiting for friends/family to emerge from the Immigrations area on incoming flights.

Quick question if any of you know by chance - does that office accept any Walk-Ins at all? I have an appointment and I constantly check for dates that are sooner but have had no luck . I live in Chicago so I have no problem just going to the airport it's not too far. Thanks!

We have a thread discussing walk-in appointments. I'm not sure if the ORD enrollment center is discussed there.

A month ago, CLT was basically clear for July. I almost went to CLT but chose IAD instead because I could go on the weekend and not miss work. <redacted by moderator>

Exclamation

The Trusted Travelers forum is for information about and practical advice concerning programs such Global Entry, PreCheck and Nexus.

This is NOT the place for debating DHS/TSA/CBP tactics and policies.

Please take those discussions to the Checkpoints and Borders Policy Debate forum.

Thank you,

Do these special temporary GE enrollment centers appear in the list when you click on a state?

I thought there was one going on today in Lincoln, Nebraska, and another one scheduled for ssomeplace in Nebraska or Kansas (apparently sponsored by a travel agency), but I don't see them when I do the expedient of clicking on that state.

How do people learn about these additional centers?

I did my interview in Lincoln, NE today. This is ETLN which is Executive Travel. They sponsored a 5 day Global Engagement interview site. I learned the code through a newsletter which told us when to apply for it and once conditionally approved to look for this code. Here is the link off of the newsletter I received.

http://executivetravel.com/wp-conten...-29-2016-3.pdf

I do know another travel agency in Nebraska in Omaha (Travel and Transport) is hosting a Global Entry site next month for 2 days. They are already filled. They are TTON. I learned of this today at my interview site.

Here is the website which describes how to find the Omaha site on the website:
https://www.travelandtransport.com/b...-global-entry/

So these are most likely agencies or employers who sponsor their own GE event.

No - they don't show up when you click on the state, as when I clicked on NE, nothing showed up. I just went through the list and looked for the code that the newsletter told me to click on. Ironically - there was a couple from KC at my site today (they couldn't get into the KC site for months) and a couple drove in from Nashville as they wanted it soon and they saw openings at my site. The Lincoln site had openings until Tuesday of this week. I got one of the last 3 openings.
