Problem with the Automated Passport Control (APC) machines
I have a really weird problem with the new Automated Passport Control (APC) machines. They do not pull up my full name.
More specifically, every time I scan my passport, it only shows my FIRST NAME and my LAST NAME but never my MIDDLE NAME. My passport has my FIRST NAME, MIDDLE NAME and LAST NAME; my ticket and boarding pass always has my FIRST NAME, MIDDLE NAME and LAST NAME; but for whatever reason, on the screen and on the printout it never has my MIDDLE NAME. So, every time I use an APC machine, I get the dreaded "X" and must go through the long line.
Most of the time, the lines are not that long and once I'm at the customs agent, it literally takes only 30 to 40 seconds for them to let me through. However, there are the occasional times when the long line is indeed long and it takes half an hour to get to the customs agent.
There is no way to correct the omission on the APC itself. And again, my passport, boarding pass (and everything else) is correct and contains my MIDDLE NAME. I have asked and even the customs agents don't know how to fix it.
HELP!
How to I get the APC to recognize and printout my MIDDLE NAME?

The machine readable zone =MRZ. It's the part on the bottom of your biodata page. Does the MRZ have the middle name?
Which country's passport are you using? Your first name consists of how many letters? And how many letters in your last name?

My first name is only seven letters and my last name is only six; nine if you include the space and "jr" at the end. For that matter, my middle name is only eight characters so my full name is not excessively long.
Weird and frustrating.
