Global Entry for Students without Driver's License or Utility Bills
Want to apply for GE for my daughter who is a college student.
As she does not have a drivers license or utility bill, I was wondering what other forms of id would be acceptable for example a college ID? Can't seem to find much guidance on this on the GE website, so any help would be much appreciated. |
Many states issue state IDs for people who don't drive. I suggest you have your daughter get one.

In most states, you can use your passport as proof of ID when getting a state ID. |
If you start the process of filling out the GOES online form you will notice that it will ask you if you have a DL. If you hit No it will let you skip that part of the application. Ran into that issue filling out my Moms app yesterday. My mom does not have a DL but does have a state issued ID. I did enter my Moms ID info into the field just to play it safe, but you do have the option of skipping it if you don't have one.

But if the OP's daughter doesn't even have utility bills to her name, she can't verify her address. I imagine that would be an issue more than the lack of a driver's license hence I suggest getting a state ID; it would serve both as proper ID and proof of address.
Also there are more benefits to having a proper ID; for example buying age limited merchandise, I imagine she wouldn't want to be carrying her passport around. |
I have a passport which i applied for when I had a state ID. I dont have DL or current state ID. I didn't have any bills in my name. I brought bank statement and Paycheck stub. They only looked at the bank statement
