Update
UAL sent me their code. I went to IdentoGO in Fort Lauderdale. Unfriendly agent said they only accept $85 payment. Would not even look at code. I then went to MIA. Closed. I then spent an hour on the phone with TSA and made an appointment at TSA at MIA. Very kind IdentoGO agent said that they only accept codes that begin with TT. She looked at the UAL code and stated that no one working for IdentoGO, the agency to which TSA subcontracts, will accept it. UAL code is 6FXB.
TSA agent at MIA signed a statement reiterating above.
I am asking UAL to cancel and reimburse my 11,000 miles but it appears that will not happen.
Will probably pay IdentoGO $85.00, forfeit the 11,000 miles and get on with my life.

Will any airline miles cover the $85 renewal fee for TSA PreCheck? My PreCheck is up for renewal in October, since I have not been traveling, I would like to save the $85. I think originally JetBlue cover the first $85 cost. Does UA or AA or DT cover the $85 fee with miles? or any of the hotel groups? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

Have been stuck in NEXUS renewal limbo since beginning of COVID and they took my precheck benefits away, so I decided to separately get PreCheck.
Applied for PreCheck on 6/2 1pm
Status changed to Eligibility Determined on 6/3 AM
received email and KTN on 6/4 AM
i updated my airline profiles and existing reservations. How long does it usually take to have precheck on the BP?

When were you able to finally receive your KTN? I applied on 6/2, then on 6/3 until now, my status says:
ELIGIBILITY ASSESSMENT IN PROGRESS
Your application has been received and your eligibility assessment is underway. If more information is required to complete your eligibility assessment, you will receive a letter from TSA requesting additional information.
Status as of 06/03/2021.
I called them last week and they said that I should be receiving something soon, but I still have not. Please let me know. Thank you!

After submitting my application, i went straight to LAX to get fingerprinted and paid the fee. I just winged it and got lucky it wasn't so busy at the airport.
UPDATE as of 3/22/2020: 02/21/2020 - paid and did my interview. Photo and fingerprinted.02/21/2020 - received email saying: Status as of 02/21/20 Enrollment ReceivedYour enrollment has been received and is being processed for delivery to TSA. As of 2/24/2020 - ELIGIBILITY ASSESSMENT IN PROGRESSAs of 3/20/2020 - ELIGIBILITY DETERMINED. Got my KTN. (in the mail)

As of July 14th, still no change in status. Will be calling the TSA on July 23rd if there hasn’t been any change.

6/10/21 status changed to eligibility in progress
No change in status or update since then
My husband went 2 weeks after me to a different identego location and got approved & ktn email within 2 days
