Fingerprinted yesterday, got my ED today. Fingers crossed.

Um, come to think of it, maybe I should just write out "Eligibility Determined."

Renewal

Update: 02/20/2022. Precheck renewal completed! 129 days from application to renewed

Still waiting here

Precheck expired 12/29/21
submitted for renewal 10/14/2021

I’ve been calling 1-2x a week since 12/20/2021

Received this email on 1/19/22
The Security Threat Assessment for your TSA application is still being processed. Currently TSA is experiencing a backlog due to higher volume.Currently TSA does not need any additional information. If more information is required, TSA will mail you a letter to the address provided during enrollment, via the US Postal Service.

Renewal

I applied for a renewal TSA-PreCheck online yesterday, (March 9th) in the afternoon. At approximately 3am today, March 10th I received approval via email. Approximately a 12 hour turn around. I used my Amex card for payment, so I should be credited.

I'm just quoting my previous post to add some final information. On March 12th, I received the TSA PreCheck credit from Amex on my Platinum card. So, a 3 day turn around. Not bad. I never received any notice about the credit or the possibility of getting one. It just showed up on my online account. I applied for the renewal directly through the official TSA renewal site, not through the Amex TSA Benefit link.

Phew, this forum helped alleviate quite a few of my concerns, but I had 2 I wasn’t sure if anyone would know about:

1st - Is it common to not have received any emails or physical letters from TSA at all? I haven’t had any (applied online 2/24, interviewed 3/10), but I do show up in UE when I search myself with my email

2nd - I had my interview in one of the pop-up trailers at our local/smaller airport and it was honestly kind of disconcerting/jarring cuz the guy running it was super militant/fast and wasn’t very nice or open to questions. Anyways, I didn’t realize until afterwards that when he asked me to verify my address, it was my local one - so not my permanent one/the one on my license (which I don’t even remember putting my local one on the registration? weird). Should I be worried and/or try to call them to see about changing it??

Possible to pay for someone else's TSA Precheck online?

Is it possible to pay for a friends tsa precheck so they get my fee credit? I do not want to show up at the enrollment center with them and pay in person. Going through the application process, it went all the way to scheduled appointment without paying, so I assume they collect the credit card payment in person?

Or, can a US citizen get global entry without a passport? I know that one you can pay online.

Alternatively I can send him in there with my credit card. The name won't match; so it might be a YMMV.

Son Applied: 8 June
Fingerprints: 15 June
Eligibility determined: 20 June
KTN issued: by 22 June (it was not available on the status check site...see below, but I called and got it over the phone)

Before I updated above:
Below is what it says when I go to the status check page. Is this just because the KTN hasn't been issued yet? Or do I need to do something? I'm being impatient bc we have a flight on 28 June.

Pre-Enrolled
Please visit an enrollment center within 120 days to complete your enrollment.
Provide required documentation and be fingerprinted.
Pay a non-refundable fee with a credit card, money order, company check or certified/cashier’s check.
NOTE: The card holder must be present at the time of payment.

Enrollment Received

I had my fingerprints completed a week ago along with my spouse who received their KTN the next day. My status still shows,

Enrollment Received
Your enrollment has been received and is being processed for delivery to TSA.
NOTE: The card holder must be present at the time of payment.
Status as of 08/25/2022.

Is their an issue with my finger prints or have they fallen into the electronic black hole?

Does the message “Your enrollment has been received and is being processed for delivery to TSA” mean that the TSA is processing my fingerprints and background check?

Or that IdentGO has not yet transmitted the fingerprints to TSA so the TSA has nothing to process yet?
