I have just completed Global Entry procedure at Atlanta, once you get through the online process the 'interview' seems to be a formality.
Does anyone know whether UK citizens receive a Global Entry card though? I received a letter with contradictory statements:
You can use Global Entry as soon as you get your card
and
Cards are only issued to US (and a few other) citizens
Any UK users know the answer?

As well as Germans, South Koreans, and Qatari, all of whom might also be Flyertalkers and BA frequent flyers

Very good news indeed....any links to where they say when applications can be submitted (the GOES site still shows the old eligibility criteria as far as I can see) and, more importantly, what "select Qatar and United Kingdom citizens" means? TIA

Don't hold your breath. They are the only nation that has told me to get in the foreigner queue at immigration, and this is a BNO passport.
(Others like France / Germany / Italy / Portugal / Spain / Swiss/ Netherlands have let me use the EU queue)

I guess this means the government of all of these countries is sharing a sufficient amount of information about its citizens. Most folks would see this as a negative. Bet this has the tinfoil hat types over in the travel safety/security forum whipped into a frenzy.
And as a GE member, I'm not a big fan of more people having access to the program. Just means longer lines for me.

I must be one of the lucky ones. As a US passport holder when entering America I get to use the citizens line which is always nearly empty, and they let me take my wife through although she is British. When re entering the UK my wife and I use IRIS which has always been in operation when we needed it. If landing at BHX, EMA or MAN I use the "other passports" line which is just a short cut to the front of the queue.
