To add my own data point, just applied for and received conditional approval for my first GE application (I have an ESTA of course but I have never had GE before).

24 Feb - Registered for UK Border Force access code
24 Feb - Received access code later same day
01 Mar - Submitted GE application
03 Mar - Conditional Approval received

Now just need to wait til my next flight to US next month to do enrollment on arrival.

Very quick turn around for me - first time applicant going for initial enrolment.

16th March - Apply for UK code
17th March - Receive UK code
17th March - Submit GE application
18th March - GE application conditionally approved

Hoping to do interview on arrival at DFW in a few weeks assuming my flight gets in before the 6PM cut off!

What do you do if UK Border Force just are not responding to you? My wife applied weeks ago, emailed when 10 working days had passed without the code. Border Force emailed back telling her to check her spam, which she had obviously already done. She has since emailed 4 times but with no further response. I have my GE conditionally approved and we were planning to do enrolment on arrival in a couple of weeks. Anything we can do?

Feel rather left out with all the quick approvals and renewala others are having. For my renewal

14/2/23 - applied for Home Office Code
15/2/23 - code received
15/2/23 - completed GE application

Still 'pending review'

And having a trip planned to the US didn't move that forward - I landed last Monday. Have another trip in June to hopeflly ...

First application for my son this week. UK code received within 24 hours. Conditional GE approval received only 36 hours after subsequent application submission.

Very pleased with that. Hopefully EoA is available when we land on upcoming trip, since there are currently no appointments available anywhere we will be during the trip.

They don't appear to like me very much.

24 Mar Applied for UK access code
25 Mar Received UK access code
26 Mar Applied for Global Entry renewal
28 Mar Received Full approval.

Still waiting for mine

What sort of help do you want?

If you post questions here (after reading the FAQ on the official GE website because they answer most issues) you'll get accurate answers.

DO NOT use a commercial site to apply for GE. They then have access to a whole load of your personal data.

GE was revoked without reason during the US travel ban period but my US travel picked up last year and I decided to reapply while standing in a long queue at LAX:

26 May '22: Applied for UK access code

27 May '22: Received UK access code
27 May '22: Applied for Global Entry renewal
2 April '23: Conditional Approval

Just got back from the US and don't currently have any further flights booked so the interview will have to wait.

Just renewed my GE (current GE should have expired in 6 months time) - very impressed with the speed this time and the fact I received full approval (no conditional approval nor interview required this time).

24th April 2023: Applied for UK Access Code
25th April 2023: UK Access Code Received.
25th April 2023: Applied to renew Global Entry
27th April 2023: Full Approval Received for a further 5 years.

Since the full GE renewal and passport renewal shortly before that, last week I went to the US for the first time.

New kiosks in SEA instructed me to see the CBP officer (short wait, only one couple before me) who then proceeded with the fingerprint and photo capture, couple of generic questions and that was it. Hopefully, the next time it'll work as it used to.

OTOH, upon returning to LHR T3, my (blue) passport didn't work at the eGate, so had to see BF officer too. Few questions on the length and purpose of my time away (and rubbing the chip symbol on the cover ) later, I was through.

Just renewed mine for the second time:

10 May 2023: Applied for UK Border Force access code.
11 May 2023: Received access code.
11 May 2023: Submitted GE renewal application.
13 May 2023: Received full approval (dated 12 May 2023).

Happy that I don't need an interview, unlike my last renewal!
