So, my experience on Monday was flawless - possibly the quickest experience I've ever had with GE. The screen's visual identity software found me in seconds and spat out my GE receipt +ESTA receipt (Funnily enough my American wife had to put her passport into the machine as her screen didn't read her so well). This was followed by about 10 secs with a CBP agent to confirm nothing to declare and done. I wish the technology in the UK government's "automated" passport gates worked half as well as what the US government is using for the GE system.

On a separate but related note, one thing you will come to discover is that although having GE is superb (and I wouldn't want to go back) you are inevitably held up by baggage reclaim which at the moment seems to be taking a long time. I waited almost an hour at MIA a couple of weeks ago for my bags which were all marked priority and had Upper Class tags.

I applied for GE (Initial) a few weeks ago:
UKBF Paid: 21st Jan 2022
UKBF Code issued: 22nd Jan 2022
Application submitted via TTP: 25th Jan 2022
Conditional Approval: Pending
I don't have a particularly extensive travel history, but have been to the US and a few other countries in the last few years so I'm not expecting too many issues. Assuming my conditional approval comes before then, I'm hoping to EoA at LAX in August.
Not sure how much value it'll give me, but as I want to do a back-to-back run next year for my BA Gold card, Global Entry will at least give some re-assurance of avoiding the queues on arrival.

Hi all,
Does anyone know if it’s possible for a UK passport holder to enrol with global entry in DUB, without arriving from the US, ie I will take a day trip there fro
the UK?
I have a short connection at JFK T8 in September and will be in the wrong terminal for enrolment at arrival, plus I don’t think I will have time to go to T4.
