Went in for my interview today. They grabbed me 10 minutes early, had no questions, scanned my passport and took new fingerprints/photo. In and out in five minutes. A+

Which seems a little 1990s but there it is. Perhaps there is an email, hopefully I will find out soon.
So, my application has been approved. I did not get an approval email, or any change in status email. I applied on the 10th September, yesterday it was still (when I looked) in "Pending Review", I just checked today and it is now "Approved" and was done so on 16th October.

For those renewal applicants who get conditionally approved for renewal, renewal on arrival is possible for “the interview”:

It was to juxtapose what can be done if a renewal applicant were required to do "the interview" as a result of getting a different kind of renewal approval than yours (which required no "interview").

Lightbulb Similia similibus curantur

Very similar for me, and exact same dates: Applied on 10th September, was conditionally approved on 16th October, and received no emails whatsoever.
I do have to do an interview, which I scheduled for next week.

Very strange, I wonder if this is an indicator of the current lead time?

Very similar to my and another person's dates above. My bold: this is rather odd in this day and age even if it is the govt.

Forgot Countries Visited After Submitting GE Renewal App

This is what I get for multi-tasking and not being thorough. I forgot to include countries visited on 2 cruises since my original GE card was issued in 2013. Has anyone else had similar issues with not including all countries on their renewal app? Hoping the worst case is an interview where I can be forthcoming and let them know there are additional countries I want to add. And also praying they don't just deny me without an opportunity to address this via an interview. Thanks for any other similar experiences.

I wouldn’t know if I forgot to list any, because, well, I forgot. Seriously, I suspect that the CPB only had access to data from entry and exit flights, and perhaps connecting/feeder flights. If they wanted to look at all your stamps, they could ascertain more data.

What they could never do is discover, for example, all the Shengen countries you visit on an automobile trip.

In in any event, the CPB is not trying to fail you on a memory test. At least I hope not, because that would lead to a high failure rate.

When you go for your interview, merely disclose your forgetfulness and volunteer to list your additional countries.

No need to get paranoid, but there are many ways technology can track you. For example, your smartphone constantly gives away your location even though you have GPS and location services off. Couple of sources - here and here

The use of your credit card also gives away your location if used to pay in person.

Rental cars may have gps tracking devices.

And the list continues...

It's all a matter of effort put into mining data from different sources to trace your steps. The more number of data sources used, the higher the confidence level of certainty.
