I have visited mainly european countries (and dubai once)

21 days and counting. If I was less lazy, I would run and average and median for the last 25 or 50 posts on this thread re: processing time

Ok: so I found the last 18 times posted here.

From submission to notification:
Average: 14 days
Median 16 days

But the trends are creeping up,for the last 9 of those:
Average: 17 days
Median 20 days

usual caveats: sample bias for those who post here, small n, etc etc

Renewal application submitted 6/15/2018.
Approved without interview 7/12/2018
Submission to notification: 27 days.

I have visited 41 countries in the past 5 years, including Cuba.

FWIW - probably nothing - I got the email minutes after I finalized my wife's renewal application, and a day and a half after returning from three weeks out of the country.

Now I'm not feeling as worried. Mine was submitted on June 24 and is still pending as of July 12. I have visited several Asian, European, Middle Eastern, and South American countries.

I've never been asked to list out every country I listed on the app. I can't imagine they would expect someone to commit that to memory. The renewal interview was very short in my case.

Is it true if you submit your renewal application prior to expiration and it's still pending review at date of expiration, that you still have global entry for 3 or 6 months until renewal is approced? I thought I read that somewhere, but can't seem to find anything official.

From the FAQ at Trusted Traveler Programs Frequently Asked Questions
If you submitted a renewal application before expiration of your current membership, then you can continue to use your benefits until the renewal is finalized (up to 6 months after your expiration date).

Received approval Sunday afternoon 7/15/2018. No interview, new card arrived about 2 weeks after approval. New expiration on my birthdate in 2024 (5 1/2 years from now, 5 years from original expiration date). Renewal took about 27 days. Used my United Mileage Plus card to pay fee, $100 statement credit appeared within 24 hours of application.

I did use the helpful (albeit slightly confusing) search function of the Global Entry website to match my travel to available interviews. I was able to find an early interview at EWR -- an airport where, logically, you'd think they might be backed up. Not the case at all. I do wonder if the staff at EWR might be "more serious" than at other airports, given that the risk of terrorism is more real in NYC than elsewhere. Of course, this could also work to my benefit: because they'd be more concerned about real terrorists, they'll quickly conclude I'm not a threat and won't hassle me with an overly bureaucratic process.
My renewal at EWR was very fast, but also somewhat ridiculous. When I got to the office at baggage claim in Terminal B, there's a sign on their door not to enter. You're supposed to have a seat in the little circular seating area outside and wait to be called. Fair enough. I went to the waiting area but didn't sit down. I had just been driving for 2 hours and wanted to stretch my legs a bit. I also thought it might be easier for the Officer to see me from their office if I were standing. Bad idea: the Officer came out and said "Didn't you see the sign: it says SIT DOWN." So I did. Less than a minute later, he told me to stand up and go into the office. I did. Another non-friendly officer asked me a couple of routine questions (like whether I had violated Customs laws, or had any arrests). My fingerprints were then taken with the screen device and I was done. Five minutes total.

Hmm. I can't recall if my fingerprints were again taken. Oldageitist.

Are others having their fingerprints re-taken?
