Has anyone applied recently as a Mexican national? My girlfriend applied in late April of this year and we are waiting for CA after the current pending review status. No prior anything that would be a red flag. I got approved in 2019 like two weeks after applying. Also, are the virtual interviews an option or randomly assigned?

The video teleconferencing enrollment interview option is currently available only for renewals, not for first time applications. Please refer to the following thread for additional information:For indexing and future search purposes, please continue the discussion of the trusted travelers' remote enrollment interview pilot program in the above referenced thread.

My 6 month old
applied 6/2/2021
Conditional approval: 6/3/2021
Interview and approval: 6/4/2021

Wife (holds a green card):

Applied: 5/21/21
Conditional approval: 5/22/21
Interview and approval: 6/4/2021

The baby's interview was scheduled for March 20, 2022, but my wife asked if they could do the baby's right now since she was there for her appointment. The agent said go get her! We were so stoked the agent was so nice.

My 14 yo applied on a Saturday (6/5) and was conditionally approved Sunday (6/6)

We are scheduled for a trip to Alaska and there are open appointments everyday. We could go in 6/7 if we wanted, but will go in for appointment as we leave Anchorage 6/18. Not sure if it matters, but both parents have GE.

have not posted since March 2020 but can share subsequent happenings...

first applied: August 8, 2019
conditional approval: March 6, 2020 (211 days, I believe)
thought I had an interview for late March, 2020 out in Calexico, CA, but Covid-19 wiped out that interview, although months later they started up again.
had no luck attempting to get another interview until something came available in late November, 2020 at McCarran airport in Las Vegas.
while that was not close to my home in Baja it was not altogether inconvenient.
subsequently got my card which I have used for several months now and also discovered it is easy to add an auto, after the fact.

Good Luck to all!

Both me & my wife applied on 10/24/20 (Saturday). Both got CA on 10/25 (took less than 24 hours on a weekend!) and after some retries, I got an interview scheduled for 10/26, so less than 48 hours for the whole process. Interview took like 5 mins; I didn't have a long/crazy list of countries I visited before.
Looking at the statistics, seems that LPRs approvals are much faster. I guess the reason is that during the LPR process DHS already collects all the necessary information, which otherwise takes a lot of time for them to collect before they can grant CA.

I applied on 6/8/21 at approx. 3:30pm
I was conditionally approved on 6/9/21 at 11:25pm.
My interview is on 6/20/21 and the earliest date available was 6/18/21
I have PreCheck, which expires 6/30/21.
UPDATE: Had interview on 6/20 at 12:30pm and received APPROVAL email at 12:55pm (before I made it back home)!

Applied 5/29/21
Conditional approval 6/3/21
Closest/soonest appointment was 8/13/21 at EWR (we're not from NY/NJ...)
Was going through CBP pre-clearance in Aruba on 6/6/21 to return back to the US and saw a sign saying "Are you conditionally approved for GE? Get an interview today!"
Went up to the GE line, said I was looking to get an interview. Went into the CBP interview room and 20 mins later was out after getting a picture taken and fingerprinted.
15 minutes later, while at my gate, I got an email saying I had a status change. Approval granted.

Note: I was 4 years into my PreCheck status.

I think you're right. My wife is LPR and got CA in two or three days. The baby was even faster. Baby CA came back on the morning of my wife's interview. So we printed the appointment confirmation for March 2022 and just asked if they could do the baby now since we had everything we needed. The crew was very helpful in accommodating that.
