No one has an answer for you. What CBP officer told you yesterday is a good date line to expect. Individuals with common first and/or last name seem to take longer.

Being a UK citizen I applied from London.
Applied on June 1st 2018 @£42
Got UK Clearence and Code to start application in CBP site @ $100 on June 25th.
Intiated the application on June 25th and Got conditional approval on July 25th.
There is no dates available in London for interview so I have to attend interview on arrival in US

Mean while due to the number of application CBP updated the timelines to review application timelines to something in between 2 to 6 months

I applied July 18th, 2018. Its been a bit over a week now. We travel internationally next Friday. I doubt we'll get approved by then since we started the process only a few weeks before travel. Hopefully will have what we need for travel next summer.

Patiently waiting...

I applied 6/20 and paid the same day and still waiting. Does anyone know if you register a car if that adds to the waiting time? Kind of wishing I hadn’t at this point...

Oh this is interesting...I'm a US citizen by birth and it took me 29 days to get approved. My wife is a naturalized US citizen and she just got approved in 4 days (today). Go figure.

Here is another data point for you folks for 2018. This is for Global Entry which comes with TSA Pre

Myself Applied 6/14 Conditional Approval 7/13
Wife Applied 6/14 Conditional Approval 6/20
Child1 Applied 6/22 Conditional Approval 6/26
Child2 Applied 6/22 Conditional Approval 6/26
Child3 Applied 6/22 Conditional Approval 6/26

Got interview appointment on 7/25 for whole family. We had appointments for each family member, whole family was interviewed together children left after the pictures and fingerprints were taken. Interview was casual; I made few mistakes on the application and told the agent.
We had clean records so no complications there. Officer said you are all approved after the conclusion of interview. He said it would take 24hours for the email to come. Got the email for first four after 24 hours. For the youngest child it came after 36 hours. Third child is under five so he was not finger printed but photo was taken.

Applied 7/7 Still waiting. Coming up on 3 weeks.

Common first and last name. My guess is I'll be waiting a lot longer.
