Applied June 4th, 2019. Also applied for vehicle entry from Mexico and Canada.

Conditionally Approved Oct 23rd. Received an e-mail, and then I logged into the site for confirmation and details.

Looking for dates for interview in Southern California.

Timeframe update

After 13 attempts to get through on the phone and 35 minutes of hold, an agent indicated they're now up to 6 months before they can "submit a ticket" for an application to be reviewed.

Submitted on May 26, wife was conditional 3 weeks later and approved within a month, and here I sit. Good luck all.

No appointments available in my area until March, so will try to do EOA.

SO and I became permanent residents very recently.

Applied for GE for SO on Oct 20th and got conditional approval Oct 25th (5 days). Very surprised.

I applied for mine on Oct 24. Let's see how mine plays out.

Keep checking frequently as people regularly cancel and reschedule appointments and interview spots open up.

No. They are non-resident aliens. When my cousin and applied (she's a PR while I'm not) last year, we both got CA in 12 days. Perhaps CBP is "prioritizing" citizens and residents now given the backlog?

This thread is about processing timelines of applications by US citizens and lawful permanent residents. We have threads discussing processing timelines and applications by citizens of other countries, e.g., UK, Germany, India, Taiwan, etc., who are not US LPRs.

Applied: 10/23/2019 @ 12:39AM
Conditional Approval: 10/28/2019 @ 12:40AM [5 days]
Interview Scheduled: 11/14/2019 (There were a lot of open slots! One to five every half hour)
Location: Los Angeles

I was very worried that I was going to have to wait the 140+ days but I think applying now means your application gets approved much faster. I also already had TSA Pre before, not sure if that helps at all.

First time poster but long time lurker and this post is what got me motivated to finally sign up for GE. We already have TSA but have a new credit card that will cover the cost....Husband and I applied around October 23rd and woke up this morning to CA. Live in MA but no appointments at all. We chose RI and are scheduled for mid March 2020. I'm shocked it was so quick to get CA after reading through all the posts.
Thankfully no international travel before April (I know it might not be all done by then) and that is still up in the air.
This page is so helpful.
