Online, I received word that I was "Conditionally Approved" for Global Entry.

Question:

1.) Do I need them to Mail/Email me the "Conditional Approval" Letter BEFORE my Global Entry Interview as I haven't received one yet. I'm in the online system, so I don't know why their FAQ requests I have a physical letter.

2.) With the currently issued PASSID #, in "Conditional Approval" status, can I use the PASSID already for TSAPre for my domestic flights.......before my Global Entry Interview?

Neither of your questions is about the processing timelines of first time applications for Global Entry.

I will provide you with brief answers and refer you to the relevant threads.

You will not receive a physical copy of the conditional approval letter. You can print it from the TTP website. Many members report that the physical copy of the letter was not necessary, only the PassID number.

Please refer to this thread:
No, you will not get PreCheck using your PassID until after you have received final approval of your GE application.

My husband finally got his conditional approval today. It was 77 days - exactly 11 weeks. I had mine approved in 8 days.

I read somewhere that it has to do with who your application is assigned to. My husband and I applied the same night. Mine took just over a week. His was almost 3 months.

I applied for me and my family on Mar 01, 2019.
  • Mine - Pending as of May 20, 2019 (80 days)
  • Wife's Conditional Approval - May 13, 2019 (73 days)
  • Child 1 Conditional Approval - May 13, 2019 (73 days)
  • Child 2 Conditional Approval - May 15, 2019 (75 days)
What is the processing timeline now for getting conditional approvals and is there a number I can contact if the processing time has crossed it?

CBP website has the following information: "Due to a seasonal increase in applications, you can expect your application to be processed for Global Entry and FAST within 11 weeks, and SENTRI and NEXUS 3-5 months.”

From reports on here (and other related threads) the non 'fast track' conditional approvals got down to around 70 days a few weeks ago - recently it seems like 74 days is more likely. At 80 days, your timeline appears to be an exception.

  • First available Interview in CT was 5/16/2019 (which I gratefully accepted).
So my wait was 76 days for Conditional Approval.
Update: I had my interview on 5/16/2019 which seemed to go very well. Very nice TSA person. No change since then in my status however, good or bad. I'll keep refreshing each morning to see when I move on to the next step.

Applied on 5/13.
Was conditionally approved on 5/20. I never received an email only saw I was conditionally approved after logging in.
Initially scheduled an interview in early June, but found an interview just one day later on 5/21 after refreshing the page. Approved yesterday.

It couldn't have been easier.
