I'm November 12 and still waiting, so I wouldn't hold my breath for this week lol. You are right, it is absolutely incredible.

I have always been curious about Global Entry but I also always forget about it. Last night, I came across an article from The Points Guy where it was mentioned. I finally made the application and then read from this forum that it will take close to a year to get a conditional approval.

To my surprise, I received my conditional approval today, 22 hours after I made the application. I was also able to find an open slot for interview next week, five minutes from where I live.

This thing is really random. Well I hope you guys get your conditional approvals soon too!

Of course there aren't any interview times available in my city, so the waiting and constantly checking does not stop.

Application 7/17/2019
Conditional Approval 2/10/2020 (200 Days)
First interview cancelled due to COVID
Interview scheduled for 9/28/2020
Question - My passport expired July 26, 2020 - will this be a problem for the interview? I plan to send for renewal asap, but it seems the processing times are delayed for that as well.

Update of my Global Entry application atatus

I applied January 11, 2020 and I am one of the outliers. I used to travel every week until the COVID-19 hit. I am resuming travel next month and I am hoping I will be CA approved soon. Reading others’ processing timelines, I think My application will be approved (God Willing) around the 1st or 2nd week of November 2020.
Since my CA date is approaching soon, are we allowed to make the appointment for the interview ahead of time? There are slots available for November in my area, telling me that there are not a lot of people looking for interview dates in my area. Just trying to be proactive.

Welcome to FT. If you need a sooner appointment, keep checking daily, several times a day, especially during hours your preferred enrollment center is open. Cancellations occur frequently.

Appointment can be made only after your conditional approval.
