conditional approval Feb 17; applied July 24
I applied July 24 2019, and finally received conditional approval Feb 17. No appointments at SFO so set one up for Long Beach - in late May 2020.
My husband applied on Feb 16 and received conditional approval within 48 hours. So now we're on the same interview schedule, but he's traveling soon so might be able to get approval on return. We'll see.

I'm from a state that borders NY, which is why I'm considering driving there. Tons of appointments available in NY but none in my state until July.

Yaaay I finally got CA today! 208 days
Applied: July 27th
CA: Feb 20th (208 days)
Interview scheduled for late April, will check periodically to see if anything sooner comes up.
This forum really helped me during the wait, it gave me an idea of what to expect realistically over time, and I could see all the other people waiting a long time with me! Thanks guys =)

LPR, applied GE July 2019, conditional approval Feb 2020, coincidentally happened to be travelling to Canada a few days later and back to US through Vancouver where they conducted my interview as a walk in with about 15 mins wait time, approval same day. Many thanks to the US customs officials in Vancouver who were polite, professional and efficient.

Applied Friday night 2/21
CA Sunday morning 2/23
After reading through this thread, I was fully prepared to wait months for CA but instead it was less than 36 hours! I will do my interview in NYC in a couple months as I will already be traveling through (the soonest available appointments near me aren’t until the summer months).
I do have TSA precheck and it has more than a year left on it also. Just another data point for those of you tracking these details.

Final Approval
Applied: 01/20/2020
CA: 01/23/2020
Interview: 02/23/2020 SLC
Went to interview took less than 10 minutes, took my picture, fingerprints, then said I was approved. He wasn’t the friendliest guy, but it was quick nonetheless.
My husband applied the same day and still waiting to be conditionally approved, I’m guessing he’s going to be one that takes months to get approved.

I applied on 8/19/19 and am still waiting for conditional approval. Its been 189 days. Well over 6 months. Who can you call to escalate or see if they lost my stuff? The 877-227-5511 number has people that don't know anything as they told me last time I called that everything is in the officers hands. UGH So frustrating
