Darn John, you already have a 5Dmk3... beautiful pics. How do you like it?

The food, however, looks even more delicious than the pics!

This was our 1st flight of 9. I didn't snap any pictures of the menus but here are a few pics of the first few courses.

These photos were taken on March 31, 2012 using a Sony DSC-W80 camera.

Description:
The food and service on board were perfect. The Devaux Champagne was flowing, I had the Caviar with traditional garnishes, I continued with the Lamb with mustard crust as a main, then the cheese plate with a nice Port. I skipped dessert and had a few chocolates. Then I slept for 5 hours, woke up and had breakfast, Fruits, Bagel, Smoked Salmon and Scrambled eggs.

FRA - ICN OZ First - A few meal pictures + Description

FRANKFURT (FRA)
To SEOUL (ICN)
OZ 542 Aircraft: Boeing 747 (747)
Seats 4E 4F
Departs: Sun Apr 1 2012 19:00
Arrives: Mon Apr 2 2012 12:20
Duration: 10h20 min

I took a picture of the main course (Korean specialty)

This photo was taken on April 1, 2012 using a Sony DSC-W80 camera.

Description:
The food was ok (Perhaps I was just spoiled on Lufthansa). The caviar was served in individual jars and somehow it didn't have much flavor. Also it was a bit opaque and runny.

I had the traditional Korean meal which came in separate bowls that you mix yourself (Minced meat, rice, salad-like veggies, sesame oil, spicy red paste). It was nice to have something authentic but again nothing spectacular.

When I woke up I had the full breakfast. The best part was the yogurt and jam. I don't know what type of yogurt this was but it tasted like whipped cream, it was fabulous. I also had a nice course of prawns with red sauce.

Seats 1C 1H
Departs: Tue Apr 3 2012 12:40
Arrives: Tue Apr 3 2012 15:00
Duration: 2h20 min

Even though this was a First Class flight, since it was so short, the food and drink were more like what you would get in Business Class.

These photos were taken on April 3, 2012 using a Sony DSC-W80 camera.

Description:
After serving a pre-departure glass of Spanish sparkling wine (in a plastic glass) Eddy the flight attendant told me to save room for the real champagne after departure. I didn't see the bottle but I suspect it was Moet et Chandon served in a proper glass.

For lunch I had the traditional Japanese "Box" meal. It was pretty good, a very "light" meal with cold noodles. A bit of chocolate cake for dessert and it was already time to land.
