I do enjoy them also. I want to make a nice HD slideshow of these photos one day.

Gardyloo,

Like the 2nd shot - I have a similar feeling shot at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.

I'm not trying to duel with the typical rock-photos, those which are already posted are ways better than those I have taken.

Anyway, I will add two photos, which (hopefully) are still conform with the theme "red rock".

#1: It was a rock, it became red (Moscow)

#2: It's red, and on the rock (near to Gothenburg)

I love the pic... but the contest rules don't allow for brick, does it?

Well, the Theme says: Bricks are not rocks, however.

The Rules say: Voters will be asked to choose between the submitted images based on the entries visual appeal, artistry, composition, and aptness to the theme of the contest

I wouldn't say that they are in any way disqualified, but they may be at a disadvantage during the voting process.

In and of themselves I agree they are great pictures.

Gotta stretch the rules
I could place a little red pebble somewhere on the church.

Welcome, armydude. Please do make the picture 800 pixels on the largest side.

Needs a title too. Where is it? Looks very cool
