OMG  hasn't this second comp raised the bar - there are some inspiring shots already posted....well done all ^

I think I'm going to have to rethink my submissions now...

Birdstrike: I love your demo shot - 'tis a pitty you can't enter. Maybe we need to have someone judge the next one so you can participate too!

Cheers

Hey, wait a second!

Why shouldn't Birdstrike enter? He's not judging -- the rest of FT is, and we-who-have-entered are perfectly free to vote for our own photographs if we want (though I didn't have quite enough hubris to do that in the last one). I think it's perfectly fair if he joins the competition (though he's a good photographer -- that's going to make it tougher for me. ;) ).

What does everyone else think? Shouldn't Birdstrike also enjoy the fruits of what he's created?

Should. Bring it on.

Hungaroring F1 Grand Prix in Budapest, Hungary. August 6, 2006. No, I am not a racing fan and don't know much about sports. It took me 5 minutes to figure this one. I guess I have an "eye" for details after all. Let me know if I'm right. :D

Thanks for the kind words. :) The reasons I've recused myself from the competition is because I've been advising posters on how to make their images more presentable, and sometimes, with consent, directly manipulating them with respect to size and compression to fit the contest rules.

Given that level of involvement it doesn't seem right to also compete with my own works.

Besides, I'm having an immense amount of fun already :p

There would be no competition if you enter, birdstrike. ;)
