First Time Flyer
Sorry for the delay in posting this but it's been a long week-
As some of you may remember I came here a couple months ago asking for information and advice as I was going on my 1st flight this month. I appreciate all the information I was given and will now give my trip report- Last Tuesday (9/19) I arrived at Burbank @ 5:00am for my 7:00am flight to JFK on Jetblue. I got through security quickly as I was one of the only people arriving for their flights. Boarded the plane about 30 minutes before departure and we left a few minutes early. For a 1st time flyer the sensation at takeoff was strange, but I had no problems with my ears or getting sick on the plane. For the most part the flight was smooth (few periods of turbulence but nothing bad). Arrived at JFK 15 minutes early. ------------------------------ Saturday Morning (9/23) I had a 8:40am flight home. Got to JFK at a little after 6:00am for my flight, got through security quickly and then waited for my flight to board. Flight boarded 30 minutes before departure and we pushed back on time but had to wait in line for takeoff about 10 or 15 minutes. Flight was smooth with the exception of strong winds about an hour into the flight, but other then that not bad. The landing @ BUR was an experiance- Due to the short runway once the plane landed the pilot slammed on the brakes, but other then that it wasn't bad. |
Yay!! Congratulations!

Congratulations!!
Unfortunately I don't remember my first flight as I was only two weeks old back then, it's a pity in a way... ;) |

Reminds me of my first flight, BNA-MDW on WN (Southwest), into a similarly short runway. I thought all landings were like that!
|
Congratulations! I still remember how my ears hurt on my first flight.
|
