Since pictures are worth a thousand words, or so it is said, I loved your commentary! :D

The picture of the main beef dish reminded me of my terrible experience with CX catering this summer on LAX-HKG in J - CX really does a great job presenting the appetizers and desserts, but the main course really lacks attractiveness (and taste).

Yes, I was a little surprised at how the main course is presented. They wheeled the cart with all the choice but they really should change the dish.

I was on the same flight as you! I also thought it strange to be flying eastbound.. but even weirder was that they seemed to have overshot HK and had to come back westwards a bit when flying over China... maybe also had something to do with air traffic control...

Excellent photos! Thanks for sharing. I agree w/ the comments about presentation of the main course. Not entirely sure I would want to experience this looooooong flight, though. I rather like getting off somewhere and stretching my legs.
