A most thorough report on one of the world's shortest international flights, no less! ^ ^

guys, a bit off-topic question but relevant for KUL-SIN tread: what is the reasonable/minumum transfer time between flights in Changi airport?
I will be landing in SIN at 19:45 (SQ from KUL into Term2) and will need to catch up flight departing at 22:40 (BA from Term2). Is 3 hours emough to disembark, take luggage, transfer, check-in, some shopping and drinks/shower in the BA departure lounge? Or do I need to take a previous KUL-SIN flight arriving at 17:45? Will I have to go through Singapore immigrations (arriving from KUL and departing to LHR)? How long it might take on a Sunday night? many thanks for recommendation/advise mishkira |
3 hours is plenty. But why dont you check your bags through from KUL then there is no need to clear immigration at all?

hi and thanks for reply. Sounds good.
I would check the bags for the whole trip if they allow me to do so in KUL (?). I just remember last year flight to BKK on TG and out on BA - they refused to checkin my bags for the whole trip when I boarded TG in ChangMai (some unefficiency in BKK airport or principal rule not to check to the following OW flights... ) so I had to pick-up my bags from the carrusel in BKK Domestic and run to BKK International to check in on the onward BA flight to LHR... Hope Changi is better one:-) |
mishkira Bear in mind that BA won't interline bags to other carriers if you have two separate bookings, so your experience in CNX may simply have been TG "retaliating" to this.
IF MH refuse to interline onto BA, at least you haven't got to cope with teh slog between two terminals. Simply exit customs, up one floor and you'll be at departures. Can't comment on immigration times though as it's been a couple of years since I was last through SIN. As for the OP's question about duty free, there's no duty free allowance for travel between Sinagpore and Malaysia, so that's why you were refused. |
