Excellent trip report and it looks like you really enjoyed it. I spent 3 nights in Zadar last month. Had a great time. Much less hectic than DBV or SPU. Amazing to just have the Roman ruins incorporated into the city. The promenade is amazing. Food was great. We stayed at the brand new Hyatt Regency - highly recommended - amazing breakfast! Glad I made the decision to spend more time there than in Split.

We ended up in FRA in C-gates, which means, that I have to clear security again. OK experience, lines were not that long. With about a 4 hour layover, I decided to walk around the airport a little bit (hoped for some shopping, but most interested shops were after the passport control...), so I decided to visit the Senator lounge. Quick shower to start, nothing to be excited about.

Especially comparing to my leg on Discover, which was shorter. I ordered a Campari Spritz, and I had to explain 2 or 3 times what is exactly is, but when it arrived, I had 2 glasses at 1 time. However, I must say that comparing to 2023 and 1st part of 2024, the LH experience is better. Food in the lounge is more inspiring, alcohol selection is also quite good, they introduced those small buffet with plates. At least they pretend to do something more. Onboard experience is slightly better. Maybe I was in a big minority, but for me the Heimat was OK, this meal was simply boring. Would prefer the (un)famous burrata :D |
It's not that surprising that Discover offer a good product in front. While in general leisure pax are relatively undemanding, the importance of premium leisure is becoming bigger and bigger and paradoxically premium leisure pax are more demanding than general premium pax (because they are paying extra out of their own money and want to see more of a service value delivered)
