To add insult to injury, the sausages were tasteless, the falafel greasy and soggy, just a very poor showing.[/QUOTE]
It looks awful, reminds me on low level pay lounges at the airport.

I really shouldn't judge considering I'm a proud Canadian and much prefer a Caesar over a Bloody Mary. A Caesar is of course made with Clamato. Yes, that is a combination of clam and tomato juice :D

Arriving at Newcastle station exactly on time, the station and the road outside is awash with runners sporting their medals and silver heat blankets.

And that brings this trip to an end as most of them finish, with me writing this update whilst sitting in an Uber heading for home.

Something of a different weekend but good fun.

Unless I decided to do something stupid, the next trip will be a tier point run booked way back when I was young and foolish, 15 flights in total to San Jose California and back.

You have to wonder who originally thought it would be a good idea to mix clam and tomato juice! Probably the same sort of person that first decided to eat an oyster!

I've just realised a certain FTer in the photo has a passing resemblance to James Quinn, of Early Doors and others fame....

Having just been to one in Sinsheim, I have to say, the BA Concorde has the nicer interior.

We were discussing that one today, and whether there is scope for an FT do to visit it. What did you think of the Tupolev?

Glad you all had fun. A great trip report once again. I'll look forward to the tier point run:tu:

Both Sinsheim and Speyer are good museums. From purely aviation perspective I enjoyed Speyer a little bit more, but there wasn't much in it and the Concorde + 144 pair is unique.

The 144 was interesting. They are more similar than different, but some differences are clearly obvious. Question is how much of them is from the age of the cabin and how much is from the difference in expected mission...

When does this adventure take place?

Another enjoyable read, Japes, and it was great to meet you last night and put a face to the name. :)

Looking forward to the next trip report!

18th-25th, so it all starts in 10 days. It’ll be my first west coast TP run.

Likewise. Shame we didn’t get much of a chance to chat but I’m sure there’ll be another opportunity in the future.
