I've been to the one in St Pancras, it was nice, but I didn't catch the cocktail bar, second time's the charm :D the rest of them are supposed to be a bit more basic, but still. With the laughable difference between a 2nd class and a 1st class Interrail pass, no point in not getting the full fat one.

Just hoping the seat reservations for eligible trains won't be too bad.

(just as it happens, I will be reporting out of one next week, as I have tickets for 1st class on SJ X2000 from Gothenburg over to Stockholm)

I'll be racing alongside my girlfriend next year, so likely we'll want to pursue our own plans rather than join a group. However, there are plenty of opportunities to meet up at the start / finish lines, at checkpoints, or on lengthy train / ferry rides!

The tracking tech has changed - it was app-based for our race, but I - like many other competitors - could never get it to work. For those that could, it was possible to customise your name - I remember a 'DB phobia' team. They've now switched to physical GPS trackers; for this weekend's 'JET Jaunt' you can see those appear to present everyone using first name and initial but I imagine you could request a different ID on privacy grounds.
